Her interview with Winfrey is to be taped Friday and will air Tuesday, People magazine reported.
Media outlets reported Ferguson tried to sell an undercover reporter access to her former husband, Britain's Prince Andrew.
"We all make mistakes," Ferguson said Wednesday during a party in New York where she was promoting her new line of children's books. "Yet we go on. We dust ourselves down."
Ferguson was caught on video accepting money from the reporter and promising access to Prince Andrew, also a British trade ambassador.
She later apologized, calling her actions a "serious lapse in judgment."
The former duchess of York has written a number of children's books. The latest series, written to help kids through difficult times in their lives, includes four titles so far: "Matthew and the Bullies,""Emily's First Day of School,""Ashley Learns About Strangers" and "Michael and His New Baby Brother."
The books go on sale in the United States in August.
