Two couples thought they were in danger of elimination at the end of the Dancing with the Stars broadcast based on the combined total of judges' scores and viewer votes that were cast live throughout the two-hour episode: American Pie actress Alyson Hannigan and pro partner Sasha Farber as well as Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and pro partner Pasha Pashkov.

Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro announced, "Which couple will compete in the finale? It's time for the final result... Based on the combination of judges' scores and viewer votes, the couple dancing in the finale will be both of you!"

"That's right! No one is going home tonight!" Dancing with the Stars co-host Julianne Hough exclaimed.

"Everyone here made it to the finale. For the first time ever, we will see five couples dancing for the trophy! All of the judges' scores and viewer votes from tonight with carry over to next week's scores and votes to determine our champion."

Alyson said it was an "incredible" twist and she felt so "grateful" for the opportunity to continue competing.

And Ariana gushed over the news, "It's going to be amazing! I'm so excited that everybody dances. Literally, I thought I was going to throw up just now; I'm just really glad we're in the finale."

Prior to the big announcement that everybody was safe, each of the five celebrity and professional pairings took the stage with one ballroom routine and one Latin routine.

Marvel star Xochitl Gomez and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy topped the leaderboard in first place with a total of 60 out of 60 possible points for the night.

Xochitl and Val first danced a samba, which earned a perfect score of 30 points from the judges.

Carrie Ann called the dance "spectacular," adding, "The content was off the charts, maybe one of the most difficult routines we've ever seen on this show... Xochitl, you're a star!"

Derek gushed about how he didn't like the performance -- he loved it. And Bruno added how nothing was left out of the performance and Xochitl truly delivered.

Xochitl and Val later performed a 30-point worthy waltz.

Derek had tears in his eyes and announced how the late Dancing with the Stars head judge Len Goodman would've loved that dance because it was "absolutely perfect."

Bruno praised Xochitl for being "an artist" with maturity in her moves and amazing interpretation of her role, and Carrie Ann was also choking back tears.

"You really touched my heart," Carrie Ann shared. "It transported me to another world and I felt like I never wanted it to end. That was stunning."

The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson and pro partner Artem Chigvintsev finished the night in second place on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 59 points.

Charity and Artem initially performed a rumba routine that received 29 points from the judges.

Derek pointed out how the rumba is a deceptively difficult dance but Charity made it look effortless, especially in the way she articulated her feet.

Derek thought Charity was lacking a little bit of emotion and connection, but Bruno completely disagreed with his fellow judges and enthusiastically shouted about how Charity was so into it.

Carrie Ann told Charity that she had "a breakthrough" and she was very proud of her for working so hard.

Charity and Artem later took the dance floor with a quickstep routine that earned an additional 30 judges' points.

Bruno said he loved Charity's sass and pizzazz, and Carrie Ann noticed that Charity had a lot of fun and was able to keep up with a really challenging routine.

Derek gave Charity a standing ovation and yelled, "You did it girl!... That energy and excitement is what we've been talking about all season long!"

Third place on the judges' leaderboard went to Ariana and Pasha, who ended the night with a combined total of 58 judges' points.

Ariana and Pasha first danced a jive that received 28 points from the judges.

Derek told Ariana that she was running towards the finale with that dance and he loved the twists, turns and kicks.

Bruno said the performance was "light, bright and sassy," and Carrie Ann noted, "You have everything you need to win this competition."

And for their second dance of the evening, Ariana and Pasha impressed with a foxtrot routine, for which they earned a perfect score of 30 points from the judges.

Derek called the dance "sensational" and "captivating," and he complimented Ariana's elegance and control.

"You unleashed the fox in the foxtrot!" Bruno shouted. "There were all these foxy moments you threw in... Brilliant!"

Carrie Ann also declared how Ariana -- who was suffering from an injury near her ribcage -- came "back" and left it all in the ballroom for everyone to see.

Two-time Grammy winning singer Jason Mraz and pro partner Daniella Karagach placed fourth on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 57 judges' points.

For the first round, Jason and Daniella took the stage with a 27-point worthy Viennese waltz.

Bruno noted how it was a proper and correct waltz in which Jason had danced like a gentleman.

Carrie Ann asked to see more "emotional freedom" going forward because he seemed a little guarded while dancing, but Derek thought it was an elegant and beautiful dance overall.

Jason and Daniella then performed a paso doble, which earned them a perfect score of 30 judges' points.

Carrie Ann said the dance was "magic," and Derek complimented Jason's forward hips and "fierce" energy. Bruno proceeded to yell about how it was a "diabolical" dance.

And finally, Alyson and Sasha finished in fifth -- and last place -- on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 51 points.

Alyson and Sasha's first performance was a jive that earned 25 judges' points.

Bruno called the dance "delicious," although there were a couple of errors here or there.

Carrie Ann thought it was a long and tough routine yet Alyson smiled through and "killed" it.

And Derek dubbed Alyson "a fighter." The judge pointed out how he loves watching Alyson every week and has been rooting for her.

Alyson and Sasha also danced a waltz, which received 26 points from the judges.

Carrie Ann said she was very proud of Alyson and the actress had made the audience feel so much. She noted, however, how Alyson's footwork was a little off at certain points.

But Derek thought that was Alyson's best dance thus far, and Bruno gushed about how the performance was so pretty and looked like a dream. Her timing was also good, according to the judges.

Dancing with the Stars' Season 32 finale will air next Tuesday night at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
