A July 17 trial date was set for Farrell's lawsuit against his former girlfriend, Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain, who wants to market the steamy 15-minute tape online, E! Online reported.
Farrell said in court papers he was a willing participant in the filming, but he and Narain agreed ahead of time the tape would be for their private viewing only.
Despite a temporary restraining order preventing the distribution of the video, copies have cropped up for free viewing on the Internet. Farrell's attorney said in court Friday the Web sites would be added as defendants.
Farrell was not in court for the hearing, which was conducted as his latest movie "The New World," was released in U.S. theaters.
