Charlie Sheen's lawyer has filed a $100 million lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against the troubled actor's former bosses, records show.

Sheen has been battling an addiction to drugs for some time and has given numerous bizarre interviews in the past few weeks, during which he ranted about his employers at "Two and a Half Men," his family and various ex-girlfriends, as well as joked about his substance abuse and bragged about his own importance.

His erratic behavior prompted the producers of his show to cancel the rest of this season, then fire him. It is unclear whether the show will continue without Sheen.

His longtime publicist also quit recently, while his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, requested a restraining order against him and his children were removed by police from his home.

The lawsuit Sheen's lawyer filed Thursday accuses "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros., the show's producers, of breach of contract, People.com reported.

Sheen is asking for more than $100 million for the loss of his salary, as well as those of the crew, in addition to punitive damages.

In the court documents, Sheen claimed he endured years of Lorre "humiliating, harassing and disparaging" him. Sheen also said Lorre penalized him for complaining after Lorre allegedly refused to write scripts to complete the 2010-2011 season.

"Warner Brothers capitulated to Lorre's egotistical desire to punish Mr. Sheen and to stop work on the series for the rest of the season," People.com said the lawsuit states, "and used its powerful public relations machine to create a myth to justify their conduct by wrongly blaming Mr. Sheen."
