Broadway cancels all performance shows ahead of Hurricane Irene
UPI News Service, 08/26/2011
Because of the impact of Hurricane Irene on New Yorkers, The Broadway League announced Friday there will be no performances this weekend.
"As a result of the suspension of public transportation by government authorities in preparation of the incoming storm, all Broadway performances in NYC on Saturday, August 27th and Sunday, August 28th will be canceled," the Broadway League announced on its Web site.
"If tickets were purchased via Telecharge or Ticketmaster via phone or online, your credit card will be refunded automatically within 7-10 business days. If tickets were purchased through any other sales channel, please return to the original point of purchase for more information."
The organization's Web site included refund information.
The Broadway League is the National Trade Association for the Broadway Theatre Industry.
