The announcement about the participation of the current Academy Award nominees was made Thursday by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
Affleck's "Argo," Chastain's "Zero Dark Thirty" and Lawrence's "Silver Linings Playbook" are up for the Best Picture Oscar. Chastain and Lawrence are also competing for the Best Actress prize.
Oscars for outstanding film achievements of 2012 are to be presented Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
Seth MacFarlane is to serve as host of the event, which will air live on ABC.
