Fox's "Arrested Development" is taking a brief production break while star Jason Bateman recovers from throat surgery, TVGuide.com reported Tuesday.

"He's totally going to be fine," Executive Producer Mitch Hurwitz said. "We're shutting down for a couple of weeks so he can recover, and then we'll be back in production."

Original episodes of the critically acclaimed comedy will continue to air through November.
