A&E has announced Gene Simmons Family Jewels' fifth season, which continues to follow the KISS frontman and his family in their daily lives, will premiere with a special one-hour episode on Sunday, March 21 at 9PM ET/PT.

The fifth season will begin with Shannon Tweed, the former Playboy Playmate of the Year who has been with Simmons for more than 25 years, receiving some scary health news that will force him to choose between being there for her or being on tour with KISS.

Additional fifth-season episodes will feature the couple's daughter Sophie participating in her high school graduation, their son Nick celebrating his 21st birthday and launching his graphic novel at Comic-Con, Simmons celebrating his 60th birthday and touring his roots in New York City, and various stops on KISS' world tour.

In addition, the fifth season will also include the reality series' 100th episode.

A&E renewed Gene Simmons Family Jewels for a fifth season last May and it is produced by The Greif Company and the Gene Simmons Company.
