The cast also includes Sophie Sierra and Rob Warne, Ashley Michelle and Manuel Velez, and Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda from the latest season of 90 Day Fiance.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? features married couples trying to make their relationships work in America following the K-1 visa process, except for Liz and Ed, who began the season as engaged Americans.

The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? cast will "continue to navigate the highs and lows in their relationships including everything from preparing for first impressions with the in-laws, to managing significant cultural differences, to working through turbulent family dynamics and more," according to TLC.

Below is what happened on Episode 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s eighth season.

ASHLEY and MANUEL

Manuel was shown taking Ashley to a Catholic mass so that she could better understand his religious beliefs and why he was afraid to tell his very religious family that his wife practiced witchcraft. Manuel, in fact, didn't want to tell his family about Ashley's spirituality at all.

Ashley was shocked by how different the mass was from her own spiritual practices, but she noted it was important to respect her husband's beliefs in order to receive his respect in return.

After the mass, which Ashley complained featured a lot of standing and kneeling, the deacon who had led the mass approached the couple and asked about their relationship.

Manuel explained his dilemma of being fearful to introduce Ashley to his family, and the priest admitted Manuel's relatives would probably judge Ashley for being a witch. The deacon advised the couple to let things flow naturally and not throw too much information at Manuel's family at once.

Ashley was disappointed by the deacon's words because she didn't want to feel like she had to hide a big part of herself from Manuel's family.

Ashley and Manuel were then shown traveling to Newark, which Manuel didn't realize was not New York. Ashley therefore had to adjust their plans, and Manuel was a bit nervous about the visit as a whole.

NICOLE and MAHMOUD

Nicole was still furious that Mahmoud had allegedly checked out a Muslim woman walking nearby them, and Mahmoud was frustrated at Nicole for flipping out on him.

Mahmoud insisted he'd never check out another woman while walking with his wife. Mahmoud explained it just surprised him to see a woman wearing a hijab in public because it reminded him of being home with his family and friends in Egypt.

Nicole had called Mahmoud "a womanizer," but Mahmoud told his wife that he only wanted to be with her.

"You're so homesick and you're not happy being here, so maybe I saw her as a symbol of, like, what you do want," Nicole explained.

Nicole felt in her heart that Mahmoud truly wanted to be with a woman who believed and celebrated his Islam religion, and so that really bothered her. But Nicole tried to remember that Mahmoud loved her and had just moved to the United States for her.

"I've got my eye on you. Let me just tell you that," Nicole told her husband.

Now that Mahmoud was in America, Nicole said she was no longer going to change or compromise herself to make Mahmoud happy and please his traditional Muslim beliefs and traditions.

Nicole didn't want to cover her hair, and she wanted Mahmoud to like her for who she is.

"I know I'm never going to be who Mahmoud wants me to be, but I'm not trying to be disrespectful to him... I need to respect my own self and my own identity," Nicole explained to the 90 Day Fiance cameras.

Mahmoud wished Nicole would cover herself up more in public, because that's how he had grown up and that's what he was used to, but he was starting to change his mind about that in order to be with Nicole. Mahmoud promised Nicole that he loved her and was trying his best to accept her ways.

Nicole had converted to Islam before for Mahmoud, but she refused to follow its strict rules and regulations. Nicole said she didn't want to live like that.

Later on, Nicole left her apartment wearing an outfit that showed her back, and Mahmoud allegedly accused her of acting immodest. Mahmoud was upset with his wife and decided not to talk to her, and he explained in a confessional how he wasn't going to turn into an American in two days.

Mahmoud refused to join Nicole on an outing with her friends, and Nicole wasn't sure how to make Mahmoud happy and to make him think differently.

Nicole claimed that talking to Mahmoud was like talking to a "rock," and she hated how Mahmoud threatened her with divorce whenever he was angry with her. Nicole said this behavior was why she had left Egypt to begin with.

Nicole ended up going to the gathering alone, and she was clearly deflated, frustrated and disappointed.

SOPHIE and ROB

Sophie was shown meeting with several of her friends and telling them about her frequent fighting with Rob and how they had finally gone on a sweet date together.

Sophie invited Rob to the pool party, and her best friend from England, Callum, was going to show up later that day.

Sophie explained how Callum had "a new girlfriend every month" and she couldn't keep track of her love life. Sophie insisted that Callum wasn't traveling from London to America just for her; she claimed he was already coming to the United States for leisure.

However, when Sophie's girlfriends asked if Callum had a crush on her, Sophie blushed and dodged the question.

Rob, meanwhile, didn't know what to expect from Callum, but he just wanted to make his wife happy so that she'd consider moving back home with him.

During the pool party, Sophie's friends grilled Rob about his prior actions and preached about how Sophie needed a man who was going to love and support her, and Rob admitted that women he had dated in the past broke up with him and dated their "guy best friend" right after him.

Rob was clearly sensitive about his wife having a male best friend, but he still claimed he was open to meeting Callum and being friendly to him.

Callum then arrived at the party, and Rob vented about how he looked like "a hot dude." Rob felt backed in a corner and also like "the odd man out."

When Rob took a good look at Callum, he thought Sophie's friend looked "smug," and he called Callum "a snake."

As the party continued, Rob learned that Sophie and Callum had briefly dated before, and Rob was totally shocked. Rob couldn't believe Sophie had not been honest with him about this.

"She lied to me," Rob told the 90 Day Fiance cameras.

Sophie said she didn't really consider Callum to be one of her ex-boyfriends, but she was anxious about how Rob was feeling. It was apparent to Sophie that Rob had shut down, and he was open to her snuggling or kisses.

Callum explained to Sophie how he wanted the best for her and she had a pattern of dating guys who weren't good for her.

EMILY and KOBE

Kobe was shown getting a haircut for his wedding at a barber shop in Cameroon, where he really felt happy and at home.

Kobe gushed to two of his friends in the barber shop how moving to the United States to be with Emily was the best decision he had ever made. Kobe boasted about his beautiful children and wife, but he admitted it would probably be too much to move them all to Cameroon.

Kobe's friends just hoped that Kobe was the king of his household.

Kobe, however, admitted that Emily often took the lead in their marriage but he was okay with that. Kobe said he didn't want to restrict his wife from doing anything and that he and Emily were in a partnership.

Kobe acknowledged that Emily could be bossy at times, but he also understood that he's from a totally different culture. Kobe insisted to the cameras that he loved Emily and didn't want her to change, but at the same time, he hoped she'd behave and act politely around his friends.

"I feel like [my friends] are too quick to judge her, and that's not fair because I know she's a loving person... Her personality is just not common for an African woman," Kobe explained in a confessional.

Emily and Kobe were then shown going on a date together. She didn't want to be left in a hotel while Kobe reunited with his loved ones and had fun. Emily enjoyed trying new foods with Kobe and hearing about Kobe's conversation with his boys at the barber shop.

Kobe explained to Emily some of the concerns that his friends had. She didn't really consider herself a bossy woman, and she thought Kobe was acting a little strange.

Kobe insisted he had defended Emily the entire time to his friends, and it sparked a small argument at the restaurant. She feared Kobe's friends had put doubts into his mind that he never had before.

GINO and JASMINE

Since Jasmine was missing her children terribly in Panama and realized she may have to wait two years for them to join her in America, Jasmine felt extremely lonely.

Jasmine decided to send a care package to her kids filled with toys and items that would remind her children of her.

Jasmine wanted her kids to know that she missed them and was thinking of them constantly.

Jasmine shared with her friend Michelle, who was married to one of Gino's cousins, that she wanted to go back home and was so upset at Gino for not hiring a lawyer to expedite the process of moving her kids to America.

Jasmine was very disappointed in Gino for not putting her needs and desires first, and she needed her husband to show that he was serious about her and their future together.

Michelle advised Jasmine to tell Gino how she really felt and to "knock some sense" into him. Michelle didn't want her pal to leave the country, but Jasmine said she needed to take some time to figure out her next step.

"All I want is to have all my boys together -- that includes Gino, my children and my dog Coco -- and then I will be the happiest woman on the Earth," Jasmine shared in a confessional.

For Gino's part, he believed Jasmine was acting ungrateful for everything he had done for her. Gino recognized he had made a mistake on Jasmine's K-1 paperwork, but he didn't think he deserved how Jasmine was lashing out at him over it.

Gino said he felt bad that Jasmine was going to have to wait to have her kids in America, but Gino noted how Jasmine hadn't checked the paperwork and it wasn't all his fault. Gino was also angry Jasmine had alleged he "wasn't fit to be a father" due to the mistake he had made.

Gino thought it was crazy to pay a lawyer $5,000 to adjust their status so they could bring Jasmine's kids over to the United States, and he was convinced that he could get the job done himself.

Gino vented to his cousin about the situation, but his cousin didn't agree with what Gino was saying. The cousin worried Gino was going to lose his wife over this fight, but Gino didn't think Jasmine was going to leave him.

Gino claimed that Jasmine cried wolf about leaving him a lot, but the cousin warned Gino that Jasmine was very serious this time.

Gino suddenly realized the situation was dire, and he admitted to the cameras that Jasmine going back to Panama would invalidate their K-1 visa and it would be "the end of the world" for him.

Jasmine said she was under such stress that she was losing her hair. She felt very emotional and hated feeling so down when she's typically a very joyful person.

When Jasmine and Gino looked at their wedding photos together, Jasmine broke down crying. She hoped Gino would remember the vows he had made to her.

ED and LIZ

Liz's family had just arrived in Arkansas, and she and Ed were shown throwing a big Fourth of July party for everyone.

Liz hoped Ed wasn't going to piss off her mother, since he's very "impulsive" and tended to be blunt about his feelings, and so she asked him to be on his best behavior and just get along with her family.

When it became time to eat, Ed pulled Liz's mom aside for a chat, and she could tell that he looked very tense. Ed shared how he had done everything he could to push Liz away and run from her but therapy really helped and "transformed" the couple for the better.

Ed promised Liz's mom that he regretted breaking up with Liz every time in the past, and Liz assured Ed that she liked him and saw a lot of change. She added, however, that there was still more to do and achieve.

The pair hugged it out, and Ed was so happy to know that Liz's family was finally embracing him and accepting him.

And Liz truly felt that she and Ed were in the best place possible, adding, "This is it for us."

Liz's mom explained how Liz often called her to vent and complain about her relationship,
