While it's clear that Bravo's new Blow Out reality show won't be another break-out summer hit similar to last year's Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, June 8th's Blow Out premiere none the less performed well for the network, drawing 645,000 overall viewers during its 9PM premiere and another 567,000 during its 11PM encore.

While Blow Out's audience was well below the 1.8 million overall viewers drawn by a 10PM broadcast of an original second season Queer Eye episode, Blow Out still performed well for Bravo, leaping 43% above its lead-in among Adults 25-54 viewer demographic and modestly building on the network’s season average of one of its highest-rated time periods.

The 9PM debut of Blow Out attracted 452,000 Adult 25-54 viewers, an significant jump over Blow Out's lead-in of 316,000 adult 25-54 viewers. The 452,000 viewer figure is also a 2% increase over what Bravo has averaged in the time period this season. At 11PM, Blow Out's encore brought in another 425,000 Adult 25-54 viewers, a figure that represents a significant 31% increase over the Bravo season-to-date average in that hour of 324,000 viewers.

Among Adult 18-49 viewers, Blow Out scored even bigger numbers at 11PM (421,000) than at 9PM (392,000). In household rating, Blow Out generated a 0.65 at 9PM and maintained that full rating at 11PM. In overall total viewers Blow Out averaged 645,000 at 9PM and 567,000 at 11PM.

"It’s very exciting to see so many people tuning in to the Blow Out premiere," commented Jeff Gaspin, President of NBC Universal Cable Entertainment & Cross-Platform Strategy, "But what’s especially impressive is how beautifully the numbers held up for the second run at 11PM. There’s clearly a great deal of interest in Bravo’s newest original series."

Bravo's tag-team of Blow Out and Queer Eye helped the network finish 7th among the 59 cable channels measured by Nielsen Media Research during June 8th's primetime period among the Adults 25-54 demographic.
