Airing versus a repeat episode of NBC's Friends for the first time, the sixth episode of CBS' Survivor: All-Stars performed even better than usual, drawing over 23 million viewers and ranking as the most watched program of the night.
Versus the repeat Friends episode, Survivor won the 8:00-8:30 PM half-hour in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. At 8:30 PM, airing against a first run episode of Will & Grace, Survivor enjoyed tremendous growth: +10% in households (14.4/22 from 13.1/21), +15% in adults 25-54 (11.0/25 from 9.6/24), +16% in adults 18-49 (9.4/24 from 8.1/22) and added +2.28m viewers (24.36 million from 22.08 million). The Survivor: All-Stars episode was the most watched regularly scheduled episode of Survivor since the fourth episode of Survivor: The Amazon on March 6, 2003 (which was delayed due to a presidential press conference), and the highest rated in households performance since January 10, 2002's Survivor: Africa broadcast. For the night, CBS was first in households (13.2/21), viewers (21.16m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (8.8/20) and second in adults 18-49 (7.2/18).
