Cee Lo Green is continuing to face backlash from the rape remarks the former "The Voice" coach made over Twitter as two upcoming events have dropped him from the lineup.
Gretna Heritage staffers said Green's Oct. 5 performance was canceled because "he does not represent the festival's wholesome family environment."
Similarly, Navy officials issued a statement detailing their position regarding sexual assault victims and calling Green's remarks "unacceptable."
"Regardless of intent or context, the lack of sensitivity towards an issue that is one of the great challenges facing our Navy is unacceptable," read the statement.
News of the shows cancellation comes a week after the "Forget You" singer's reality series, The Good Life, was cancelled by TBS and follows Green's apology for his "untrue" remarks."I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter," the singer wrote on September 2. "Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe."
Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Calloway, made the controversial comments on Twitter after pleading no contest to slipping ecstasy into a woman's drink while at a restaurant in Los Angeles. The woman claims she was having dinner with the singer and woke up next to him the next morning without recollection of what happened.
