TLC has announced Kate Plus 8 will premiere on Sunday, June 6 at 9PM ET/PT.

Kate Plus 8 -- which the network plans to air as a series of specials -- will continue to follow former Jon & Kate Plus 8 stars Kate Gosselin and her eight children sans Jon Gosselin following the couple's divorce. 

TLC had originally planned to just rebrand Jon & Kate Plus 8 as Kate Plus 8 and relaunch the series -- which was to continue to feature the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 patriarch on a "less regular basis" -- last November. 

However those plans were shelved indefinitely when Jon forced TLC to end Jon & Kate Plus 8 by suddenly claiming it was "detrimental" to his children after the network refused to release him from an exclusivity clause that was allegedly preventing him from earning "substantial" money through appearances on other television shows.

TLC subsequently sued Jon for breach of contract and he later countersued. The network settled its lawsuit against Jon earlier this year and the whole Gosselin family remained under contract with TLC as part of the settlement.
