"They are so happy to have our crew back and so happy to be doing adventures in the world," Gosselin told People on Monday. "Life is good!

TLC camera crews are currently present at the Gosselin's Wernersville, PA home to film Kate Plus 8, a series of specials that will follow the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 matriarch's family life without ex-husband Jon Gosselin.

While Kate has previously stated she suffered from "post-DWTS depression" after she was ousted from Dancing with the Stars' tenth season last month, she has recently returned to the ABC reality series as a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.

"[It] has been extremely exciting to hold a microphone, and I found that I am loving this side of it," Kate told People. "I can talk. We all knew that, and so I really enjoy it."

Kate said it took her about two weeks to re-adjust to life without Dancing with the Stars.

"It was just about two weeks before I was like, 'Oh, hey, I'm resettled back into life. I feel like a normal mom again,'" she told People.

In addition, Kate said she hopes to pass on her new-found love for dance to her children be enrolling them in dance classes "when life settles down a little."

"I grew up minus dance experience, and I see now how valuable that is [to] formation, determination, stamina, all of that," she told People.

Kate Plus 8 will premiere on TLC on Sunday, June 6 at 9PM ET/PT.
