The Family Chantel star Nicole Jimeno's boyfriend Alejandro Padron plans to present Nicole with a ring to show his love and commitment, so did Nicole and Alejandro stay together or have they split? And is the couple still together now?

[The Family Chantel Spoiler Warning: This report contains spoilers that spoil if Nicole and Alejandro are still together or have split.]

As shown on Season 2 of The Family Chantel, Pedro Jimeno's sister Nicole was "super in love" with Alejandro, a New York-based guy from the Dominican Republic she had been dating "for a few months" before filming began.

Nicole nicknamed Alejandro her "chichi" and said the "amazing man" bought her shoes, a watch, a cellphone and more. She called her boyfriend "attentive" and said she appreciated how he showed his love for her.

The pair actually met many years beforehand at a party and Nicole had noticed him on Instagram. Alejandro then sent Nicole a message and asked her, "When are you coming to visit?"

Nicole subsequently traveled to New York twice, but she said their long-distance relationship was "very complicated." She had another trip to New York planned for the following month, and her ultimate goal was to move to New York as soon as possible.

When Nicole's friends saw photos of Alejandro, they made comments about his informal way of dressing and how he's not "darker" like Nicole's typical type. In fact, Nicole's friends believed Alejandro was the "opposite" of the man Nicole is usually attracted to.

They also seemed displeased Alejandro "sells phones" while Nicole was establishing herself as a professional career woman and was just about to graduate college.

Nicole in turn complained her friends and family had too much "venom," and she clearly didn't appreciate their criticism.

Meanwhile, Alejandro gushed about liking "everything" about Nicole, from her beauty to their chemistry and connection.

But Pedro's wife Chantel Everett argued of Nicole, "She's smiling in all the pictures because she knows she's got a Green Card... She's just using him to get to the United States."

When Pedro and Chantel met Alejandro for the first time during a trip to New York, Pedro quickly disapproved of the man who had stolen Nicole's heart.

Pedro thought Alejandro seemed a little smug and overconfident, and he suggested Alejandro needed to make Nicole happy or else something bad would happen.

"My first impression, I don't like that guy. I hate Alejandro. He tried to be so cocky, like, he feel that he's the best -- you know, better than other men. I don't know why he feels like this," Pedro complained in a confessional.

Alejandro told Pedro that he worked as a manager for a telephone company and as a bartender at a sports pub. Alejandro revealed he came to America on a Tourist Visa.

Alejandro then confessed he got married in the United States and was still married at that time.

Alejandro assured Pedro that Nicole was aware of it and he had been honest with her about everything, but the news still blew Pedro's mind, and Pedro thought his sister's relationship was "stupid" and "crazy."

Alejandro revealed he was "working" on his divorce while being Nicole's boyfriend and he never forced Nicole to be with him.

Alejandro said he met Nicole when he was married and she stayed in New York for four days. On the fourth day, Alejandro said he explained "all the details" to Nicole about his marriage.

Alejandro had been married for four years to an American woman, and he admitted they had rushed into marriage and were "a little bit immature."

"It was difficult to maintain the relationship and to maintain the peace, and so we had to separate. But thankfully, I could stay with my residence, with my Green Card," Alejandro told the cameras.

Alejandro also said his wife knew about Nicole and his wife had initiated the divorce. (Although Alejandro later said his wife wanted him back and he wasn't interested).

"I'm not surprised by Nicole's choice because it's just like her to try to ruin someone's marriage. I feel like they are well matched. He's an adulterer and she's going into this knowing that he's married, so they can do bad together," Chantel said in a confessional.

But Alejandro insisted he was "really in love" with Nicole.

Pedro reminded Nicole that their mother had been cheated on and their father was still married to another woman when he met Lidia. After two or three years with Lidia, Pedro's dad apparently told her that he had a whole other family and left Lidia for his love and other children.

Pedro argued that if Alejandro really loved Nicole, he would get a divorce for her, but Nicole said that's just a piece of paper and she didn't need it.

Nicole said she understood that Alejandro's marriage had been toxic and unhappy, and she just fell for Alejandro even harder when he was "brave" and "honest" with Pedro during their chat.

Since there was a problem with Nicole's visa, Alejandro planned to visit Nicole in the Dominican Republic and meet her mother Lidia, who assumed Nicole's romance was just an insignificant fling.

Nicole said her 27-year-old boyfriend planned to attend college soon, but Lidia wanted her daughter to find a man "on her level" -- someone "worth meeting" who has "worked hard" and gone to college already.

Lidia called Nicole an "airhead," but Nicole wanted her mother to see all the positive qualities she saw in Alejandro.

When Alejandro finally met Nicole's mother, Lidia said Alejandro's beard was "weird" and stunk up her house with cheap perfume.

Alejandro gifted Lidia with a purse and perfume, but she called the gifts "cheap" and said she wouldn't use them. Nicole therefore called her mother "ungrateful," but Lidia argued she simply has "fine tastes."

Lidia announced that Alejandro might as well have been "a dishwasher," further claiming, "He is an opportunist. He is not right for you at all. He is good for nothing."

Lidia refused to allow Alejandro to stay in her house. In fact, Lidia told Nicole that her boyfriend needed to sleep outside or somewhere else.

Lidia then tossed Alejandro's suitcase out of the house, and some of his belongings fell out of the bags. Lidia apparently even broke one of Alejandro's cologne bottles.

"Alejandro is a marvelous and spectacular man," Nicole insisted. "I just hope that you give him an opportunity. So that you can have a conversation with him and see what I see in him."

Lidia accused Alejandro of using Nicole for the "perks" of their relationship. Lidia didn't think Alejandro had any morals or values, and she was also upset with her daughter for getting into bed with her boyfriend too soon.

However, Lidia came around and acknowledged she would at least "think about" talking to Alejandro.

But Nicole later got into a fight with Alejandro in front of his uncle, cousins and some friends. Alejandro apparently told Nicole that he treated her special and never gifted other women with bags, perfume and more -- but Nicole discovered he had gifted his ex similar items.

Alejandro's family therefore got the impression Nicole wasn't mature enough for Alejandro and the couple had poor communication. One of Alejandro's loved ones even told him to just dump Nicole since she carries an attitude like that.

Alejandro later apologized to Nicole for stretching the truth with some red roses in hand, and she chose to forgive him and also apologize for overreacting.

Meanwhile, Lidia expressed concern to her co-workers that Nicole was going to "abandon" her and move to the United States to be with her boyfriend, whom Lidia still didn't approve of.

However, Lidia gave Alejandro another chance and agreed to talk to him. Alejandro apologized for assuming he could stay in her house during his visit to the Dominican Republic, and Lidia noted she'd look past it.

Nicole then broke the news that she was in a "complicated situation" and Alejandro was "still marred."

"But I'm in the process of divorce," Alejandro insisted.

"He's a dirtbag because he dates women being married. Listen to me, he is married and he is hurting another woman. He will hurt you too," Lidia told Nicole, before telling Alejandro, "You've been telling me lies from the beginning!"

Lidia desperately wanted Nicole to leave Alejandro, saying he wasn't worth all the trouble and she'd never accept their relationship.

Lidia said the most important thing to her in life was to protect her kids and so she'd do everything in her power to convince Nicole not to be in a relationship of this nature.

Lidia said if Nicole continued to date Alejandro, there would be consequences and it would break her heart to watch her daughter get hurt and suffer.

Nicole insisted she's an adult who can make her own decisions, and Lidia said she could not support it and so Nicole would have to come to grips with the fact she could no longer count on her mother.

"I have to think seriously if we should continue this relationship," Nicole told the cameras in light of her mother's opinion on the matter. "I can't make a decision that pulls me to one side and abandons the other. That is not an option for me."

But Alejandro wanted Nicole to know their relationship was "very serious" to him and he wanted to be committed to her.

Alejandro then revealed in a confessional he planned to give Nicole a ring to show his love and commitment to her, and he hoped Lidia would eventually come around.

Alejandro didn't think he needed Lidia's approval to give Nicole a ring, seemingly an engagement ring, but he figured the gesture would prove to Lidia that he wasn't going anywhere and convince her that his heart belonged to Nicole.

Did Nicole and Alejandro continue their relationship and are they still together now -- or has the couple broken up?

Nicole and Alejandro are definitely still together, and they appear to be a very happy couple!

On December 10, Nicole posted a photo of herself hugging Alejandro, and she captioned it, "Mis abrazos favoritos," which means, "My favorite hugs," along with a red-heart emoji.

In reply, Alejandro commented nearly 10 heart-eyes emoticons.

Alejandro also appeared in Nicole's Instagram Stories recently, and the pair were flashing huge smiles while enjoying each other's company.

On December 1, Nicole shared a selfie with Alejandro on Instagram and wrote, "Extranandote."

Considering "extranandote" means "missing you" in English, it appears Nicole and Alejandro may still be living in different countries, with Nicole in the Dominican Republic and Alejandro in New York City.

Alejandro wrote back, "Me too mami," in the comments section.

Nicole also gushed about Alejandro on November 26, writing alongside a throwback image of them, "My Chichi" in addition to a red-heart emoji.

"Chichi" typically describes a stylish, smart, elegant and sophisticated person.

When one of Nicole's followers wrote that she and Alejandro make a "cute couple," Nicole replied, "Thank you."

On November 9, Nicole posted a selfie with Alejandro and captioned it, "My favorite person in the world." She added a swirling-hearts emoji to the caption.

A week earlier, Nicole uploaded another selfie of the couple.

"My Dominican Aquaman," Nicole captioned a selfie of the pair on November 2.

One person commented, "Beautiful couple," and then Nicole replied, "Thank you," along with a red-heart emoji.

And in October and September, Nicole shared some photos with Alejandro from a trip to New York.

"My love bonito," Nicole captioned an image of the pair standing in front of the cityskape on October 19.

On September 27, Nicole wrote, "Happy Birthday My Angel!"

However, this is absolutely no sign of Nicole on Alejandro's Instagram account.
