Dancing with the Stars pro Witney Carson apparently has an issue with the scores she and partner Guillermo Rodriguez received from the judges during the Season 35 premiere.

"The judges' scores were lame," Witney complained to Us Weekly after the two-hour live performance show that featured only the male celebrities and their pro partners taking the dance floor.

Guillermo and Witney received a total score of 10 out of 30 possible points for their cha cha routine from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.

Both Derek and Bruno each gave the dance to "Mr. Big Stuff" by Jean Knight a score of 3.

Witney explained how she and Guillermo had worked "so much" on that cha cha prior to the September 15 broadcast on ABC.

"We really worked on the timing and not rushing it, and I think that, you know, there were bits where we were a little bit off, but he got right back on it and he listened to what I said," Witney shared.

"He followed my lead and he performed and he had fun, so honestly, that's all I can ask for. I'm so proud."

For Guillermo's part, he admitted he's also "not happy" with the couple's low scores.

"I think I did good and everything," Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick told the magazine.

Guillermo and Witney ended up at the very bottom of the Dancing with the Stars' leaderboard on Night 1 of the two-night premiere event.

Guillermo therefore joked that Derek was "dead to us" -- until he realized that Derek will be returning next week to judge the pair's Week 2 dance.

"Oh, nevermind... We love you. We love you. You're great, man. You're so sexy," Guillermo quipped.

While Guillermo acknowledged he's "not too happy with the score," he insisted that he was a great student.

"Listen, I listened to Witney. I felt like I'm at home," Guillermo shared.

"I've got to listen to my wife, I've got to listen to my partner. She said, 'Look at me. Smile. Don't rush it. Have fun. Enjoy.'"

Guillermo admitted that participating in Dancing with the Stars is "hard" but he "passed the first week" unscathed.

"So I don't have nothing else to lose, nothing to prove. I'm here to stay. I'm here to work hard and do my best," Guillermo said.

Guillermo, best known for his comedic skills on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, also revealed that Jimmy had told him to just go with the flow and have fun.

"[He said] give yourself 100% [and] no matter what happens, you should be proud of yourself," Guillermo recalled, adding how Jimmy also advised him to have a nice, stiff drink to celebrate.

Although Witney said she doesn't drink because she's pregnant with Baby No. 3, she's not holding Guillermo back.

Witney expressed how she's pleased that she's feeling "really good" in her second trimester.

"I have more energy. Guillermo's really taking care of me. He's making sure I get all my snacks and water," she concluded.

Dancing with the Stars' Season 35 premiere will continue on Wednesday, September 16 with the female celebrities and their pro partners taking the stage beginning at 8PM ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
