The first-season The Bachelorette couple, who had recently announced that they are expecting their second child, have revealed that they have learned that the baby will be a girl, In Touch reported Tuesday.

"We found out a few weeks ago," Trista told In Touch. "It was such a fun surprise. We went to our last ultrasound appointment with Ryan's parents, my parents and [our 16-month-old son] Max and we were all in the room together when the doctor said, 'It's a girl.’"

"Everyone got so teary-eyed and emotional," she added.

Trista also admitted that while the baby's health was still the most important thing to her, she was thrilled to learn that she would have another girl in the house.

"I can't wait to dress her up in cute little outfits. I'm such a girlie girl," Trista told In Touch. "It will be so much fun to do things like get manicures together.”

Trista and Ryan have reportedly already picked out the baby's name, however they plan to keep it a secret until she is born in April.

Maxwell Alston, Trista and Ryan's first child, was born in July 2007 and the couple had announced they were trying for a second child in January.  However given it had taken two years of trying for Trista to become pregnant with Max, they had admitted they were surprised how quickly she had become pregnant with their second child.

"[Ryan's] first words were, 'Holy crap!'" Trista said when the couple had announced they were expecting a second child in October. "It was positive shock, one of the best kinds you can have in your life."

She had also joked that while she would be happy with either a boy or girl, she would do whatever she needed to do to have a baby girl eventually.

"If we don't have a girl, I've thought about the possibility of adopting," Trista said at the time. "It came up in conversation because I'm leaning toward having my tubes tied!"
