American viewers may reportedly get the chance to watch a couple of British reality series on a U.S. broadcast network this summer.

The CW is "seriously considering" retransmitting two U.K. reality series in an attempt to bolster its programming lineup this summer, Deadline Hollywood reported Wednesday.

The report did not specify which British series The CW is reportedly considering, however the summer timeframe would seem to eliminate the possibility that the network will be giving American viewers the chance to watch any of the U.K.'s three biggest reality competitions as they unfold overseas.

Even if ABC, NBC and Fox's respective contracts for Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent and The X Factor don't already prohibit the stateside retransmission of their British counterparts, Strictly Come Dancing (the U.K.'s version of Dancing with the Stars) and The X Factor both air in the fall while the fourth season of Britain's Got Talent already premiered this past Saturday.

Simon Cowell's new American edition of The X Factor is currently scheduled to launch on Fox in Fall 2011.
