TLC has announced it will premiere Breaking Amish: Brave New World, a new spinoff series that will feature Breaking Amish's original first-season cast, on Sunday, May 12 at 10PM ET/PT.

In addition, the network has also revealed it's begun production on a second season of Breaking Amish -- which was originally supposed to feature the first-season cast -- that will star a new group of Amish and Mennonite young adults and debut this summer.

According to TLC, Breaking Amish: Brave New World will feature original cast members Abe, Rebecca, Kate, Sabrina, and Jeremiah reuniting and looking for a fresh start in Sarasota, FL -- but after they arrive, the group will discover more culture shock and challenges such as relationship conflicts, financial struggles and issues between roommates.

The second season of Breaking Amish will feature four new men and three women looking to explore the world beyond their sheltered Amish and Mennonite communities.

"The Breaking Amish franchise is a remarkable look at individuals facing a critical crossroads in their lives, whether to pursue the dreams they've always had, or stay in the only life they've ever known," TLC executive Amy Winter said in a statement.

"Both iterations of the series follow a group of young men and women on their own journeys of self discovery as they navigate new relationships and explore the world around them."

Both Breaking Amish and its upcoming spinoff are being produced by Hot Snakes Media.
