ABC announced Taylor Frankie Paul as The Bachelorette's Season 22 star in September 2025.
While many fans were excited for Taylor to switch things up for the franchise given she's known to be authentic and candid, Taylor's casting was met with backlash considering she has a messy past, including a 2023 arrest stemming from a domestic dispute with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Taylor shared on Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast that she dumped Dakota in late 2024, although she didn't publicly announce her breakup until early 2025.
But Taylor shared on Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast last year that her mistakes in life have made her wiser and more self-aware.
"I can't say that I'll never make mistakes again. We're human... but it's learning, growing and then having the tools to navigate the next one," Taylor said.
