A&E has canceled Neighbors with Benefits after airing only two episodes, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The series followed married couples living the swinger lifestyle in an ordinary suburban neighborhood.

Neighbors with Benefits documented residents in a seemingly normal Ohio community who were more than just friends with one another. Multiple married couples courted prospective partners and interacted with participants all the while maintaining their lives as parents and professionals.

The swinging couples adhered to a strict set of rules in order to prevent extramarital relationships from going too far, but they had to deal with the challenges and effects of living such a scandalous lifestyle both inside and outside their marriages.

A&E had filmed nine hour-long episodes of the series, which premiered March 22.
