For "Dedication Night," Tyler and his pro partner Sharna Burgess paid tribute to his late mother, Andrea Cameron, who died from a brain aneurysm in February 2020 at age 55. Tyler also gave a shout-out to "moms everywhere" when he took the stage with a contemporary routine to "Supermarket Flowers" by Ed Sheeran.

Tate participated in the beautiful performance, and at one point, Tyler pulled back his fiancee's flowy costume to reveal her baby bump.

Following the performance, Tyler and Tate celebrated their gender reveal live on Dancing with the Stars, and the couple learned they're going to have a baby girl.

"I get to be a girl dad. What a gift, what an opportunity," Tyler, who received a score of 32 out of 40 points from the DWTS judges, gushed during the episode.

Tyler and Tate opened up to People about how they're "so excited" to become parents.

"It's going to change everything in our lives," Tyler said.

"Our parents gave us a great life, and I want us to give this little baby an even greater life. Everything that we learn from our families [I want to] take the best of it and instill it into our kids."

Tyler said he can't wait to "love on" his daughter and help her grow.

"I'm excited. Being a parent is the most important job in the world," he noted.

Tyler revealed that he found out about Tate's pregnancy shortly after they got engaged in August 2026.

"The night we got back from getting engaged, I took the [pregnancy] test," Tate shared.

After seeing the positive result, Tate recalled telling the HGTV host, "You're not going to believe this."

Tyler and Tate said they knew they wanted to spend their lives together and adopted a "whatever happens, happens" attitude about starting a family. According to Tate, things moved very quickly.

The couple subsequently moved to Los Angeles so Tyler could compete on Dancing with the Stars' 35th season. Tyler admitted his demanding rehearsal schedule even caused him to miss one of Tate's ultrasounds.

When Tate later reunited with Tyler in New York City, she brought along a photo from the appointment.

"Seeing that picture was when it really, really was real for me," Tyler recalled. "Like, 'Oh my God, we're doing this. We're having a baby.' It was just an amazing moment."

Tyler and Tate initially shared their pregnancy news with only a small circle of family and friends. They hoped to keep the news private until the special Dancing with the Stars' episode.

Tyler had previously teased on "The Viall Files" that making it to "Dedication Night" on Dancing with the Stars could be "one of the greatest nights of my life," and Tate's pregnancy announcement now sheds light on why the night meant so much to him.

"We thought it would be a really amazing way to reveal the baby and celebrate the baby," Tyler told People, adding that moms "make this world go around."

"I lost my mom, and my mom would have loved Tate. All the best things in my mom, I found in Tate."

Tyler expressed confidence that Tate will be an incredible mother, while Tate gushed about Tyler's natural ability to connect with children.

"He connects with kids who aren't even his," Tate said. "Imagine what their relationship would be."

Tyler and Tate first met in 2022 while working on his home renovation series, Going Home with Tyler Cameron, for which Tate served as a photographer.

Tyler publicly confirmed their romance in September 2024 by posting an Instagram video of the couple dancing together.

The pair went on to announce their engagement on August 15, 2026, sharing photos from Tyler's romantic beach proposal on Little Palm Island in Florida.

With a baby on the way, Tyler and Tate have decided to postpone wedding planning and enjoy a longer engagement.

"I've decided I'm not going to stress myself out, and I'm just going to focus on one thing at a time," Tate explained.

For now, the couple is concentrating on Tyler's Dancing with the Stars experience and preparing their home for their baby's arrival.

"We've got to get this house baby-proof and ready for a baby," Tyler said. "We've got to build a nursery. All these things that we're really excited for."

Tyler has also been tapped to host a new HGTV series, Let's Go Back to Your Place, premiering in 2027.
