One of the couples starring on the new series are Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya, and they will also be joined by Ed Brown and Liz Woods.

For spouses Jovi and Yara, they discover at the resort that "there is discord between them"  because they can't seem to agree on what they want for their future, according to TLC.

Yara and Jovi are both holding onto secrets, and they're hoping the resort will provide them a place to finally thrive and reconnect as a couple moving forward.

Ed and Liz have broken up and gotten back together several times over the last two years.

"With dwindling trust and fear the other is looking for a way out, they are hoping to break down barriers and rebuild towards a new life," TLC said.

A new life may include the possibility of a new home and a potential wedding.

But before they get married, Ed and Liz hope to learn how to back each other up and really communicate their needs and issues to each other.

"Or will more indiscretions derail their efforts to plan for the future?" TLC teased.

On 90 Day: The Last Resort, five former 90 Day Fiance couples have reached a breaking point in their relationships or marriages.

In a last-ditch attempt to salvage their love, each couple will be shown participating in a couples' retreat -- alongside a team of professionals -- to determine whether they can fix their problems and move forward together.

The couples will "actively navigate issues with trust, sex, jealousy, anger, and intimacy," according to TLC.

"Explosive group therapies, intense couples' sessions, past life regressions, unique on-and-off-resort activities, and so much more ensue."

At the end of the retreat, each couple must decide if they want to stay together or return to the real world separately and single again.

90 Day: The Last Resort is produced by Sharp Entertainment, a part of Sony Pictures Television -- Nonfiction, for TLC.

Yara and Jovi previously starred on 90 Day Fiance's eighth and multiple seasons of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Season 7 and Season 8.

Yara moved from Ukraine to New Orleans to be with Jovi, and Yara got pregnant shortly after tying the knot.

Yara didn't like the couple's living situation in New Orleans, and so the newlyweds were often at odds about their lifestyle -- including how Yara disapproved of Jovi's partying and drinking habits.

Jovi, in turn, complained about a lack of intimacy in his relationship once Yara became a doting mother, and he constantly worried that Yara was going to move back home to Ukraine with her family and friends.

Jovi therefore suggested the pair should have another baby, seemingly as a way to keep Yara to himself, but she insisted that she wasn't ready for that.

Jovi also said he often missed "the old" Yara, who was allegedly more spontaneous and fun, but Yara thought Jovi's priorities were out of line. Yara also struggled with how much Jovi had to leave her alone with their daughter for work.

Ed, who previously starred on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' fourth season with his ex-girlfriend Rosemarie "Rose" Vega, debuted his relationship with Liz on the first season of 90 Day: The Single Life. They also starred on Season 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life.

Ed and Liz went on to star on Season 7 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.

The different shows have chronicled the ups and downs of Ed and Liz's relationship.

The couple initially broke up because Liz, who has a daughter from a prior relationship, thought Ed was trying to rush their romance.

Ed attempted to move on, but after his beloved dog Teddy died, Liz sent a nice flower arrangement, and so Ed reached out to her and they got back together. Not only that, Ed proposed marriage to her in late 2021.

But the couple's relationship was plagued with arguments, jealousy and a lack of trust. They also faced a lot of opposition from their loved ones.

At the Tell-All for Happily Ever After?'s seventh season, which filmed in September 2022, Liz revealed Ed had broken up with her and asked her to move out of his home. However, the pair reconciled -- again -- after the show wrapped.
