Garrett, 34, proposed marriage to Becca on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season in 2018, but they had differences that were too difficult to overcome, and so they announced their split in September 2020.

Garrett just married yoga instructor Alexandra "Alex" Farrar in Hawaii earlier this month, and Becca is married to her The Bachelorette 17 alum Thomas Jacobs, with whom she welcomed her first child in September.

Garrett said he hopes Becca is "happy" in her new relationship with Thomas during a recent appearance on "The Ben and Ashley I: Almost Famous Podcast."

Garrett shared of Becca's new life, "It's totally fine with me."

"Life goes on. Life moves," he said. "And for me, when something is done, it's done. I make that set in my mind and my heart, and when it's like that, there's no going back for me."

Garrett therefore insisted, "So when we broke up and there was no chance of that reconnecting, life goes on. We just want what's best for each other -- at least I want what's best for her."

After Becca's The Bachelorette stint and Thomas' time on Katie Thurston's The Bachelorette season, the pair met on Bachelor in Paradise's seventh season and fell in love.

Becca and Thomas broke up and left Paradise separately before the finale filmed, but they reunited in San Diego and picked up where they had left off. The couple then welcomed a son, Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin, in September, before they tied the knot in October.

"Whatever she did to get where she's at now, I'm happy for her and excited, as long as she's happy and living life the way she wants to," Garrett explained.

"For me, I don't have any bother or any worry or anything like that [about her new romance] other than just hopefully she's living the life that she wants."

Garrett is apparently content and happy in his life with Alex. They plan to live in Reno, NV, for a while, and Garrett is currently working as a firefighter.

Garrett and Alex met when Alex had DMed him following his breakup with Becca. They went public with their relationship with a Halloween-themed Instagram post in late 2020 and got engaged two years later in October 2022.

Garrett revealed that Alex had watched The Bachelor franchise prior to their meeting but she wasn't exactly a big fan.

"She was a viewer of it in the past. She watched it, but she didn't watch every episode. She watched it here and there with her friends," Garrett told Bachelor Nation's Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti.

"She said when she was watching [Becca's] season that I was her favorite... She liked that I was outdoorsy and not trying to seek fame or anything like that. It was more attractive to her."

As for what's next for them, Garrett said they'll hopefully be buying a house soon.

"We're just getting ready for the holidays and paying off that wedding," Garrett said with a laugh. "But kids are in the future, for sure."

Shortly after Becca and Garrett split, Becca spontaneously moved to Los Angeles, CA, in September 2020 to embrace a "new adventure" in her life.

Split rumors began swirling about Becca and Garrett's relationship in June of that year, but neither person spoke on them until Becca confirmed their relationship was over on the September 1, 2020 episode of her former "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast.

"So I don't think it's going to come as a shock to anyone, but Garrett and I have decided to end our engagement," Becca shared with her listeners.

"If you followed us on Instagram for the past couple months, you'll have noticed I spent a lot of time in Minnesota. I was with family and close friends, and he was out on the West Coast doing the same. We were really just trying to take the time and gain some clarity as to what was the next best step in our lives, whether that was together or as individuals."

A source told Us Weekly at the time that Becca "didn't want to be reactive" and "never intended to be cryptic or mysterious" about her relationship status.

And Becca confirmed on her former podcast she and Garrett had slowly arrived at the decision to call it quits on their relationship "after many conversations."

"It wasn't something that we just arrived at one night... There's much more to it," Becca explained.

Becca, however, said in her breakup announcement that she and Garrett had enough time to "come to terms" and be at peace with their choice to split.

"We've realized that we still have so much love and kindness and compassion in our hearts for the other person, but sometimes people's paths just go different ways... Life happens and sometimes people drift apart and have differences," Becca noted.

E! News first reported in August 2020 that Becca and Garrett had called off their engagement after the pair was noticeably spending a lot of time apart.

"Their lifestyles don't mesh anymore. Garrett wants different things and they came to a realization that they aren't compatible anymore," a source told E! News at the time, adding, "They are trying to keep it low-key because they are still working things out, but the relationship is definitely done."

One of their major differences seemed to be their political views., although Becca had tried to stay open-minded during their relationship.

Garrett came under fire in 2018 as Becca's The Bachelorette season was airing on ABC for his taste in offensive, controversial and politically-extreme Instagram memes involving undocumented immigrants, Parkland shooting survivors, and more.

Garrett issued an apology in May 2018, but then in June 2020, Garrett expressed support for the police during the "Black Lives Matter" movement. Becca admitted the future of their relationship was uncertain at the time.

Former The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay even called Garrett out and put him on blast multiple times when she had co-hosted the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast alongside Becca.
