The Bachelor host Chris Harrison suggests there's a good chance Nick Viall's season might end badly.

"The insecurity of Nick is, 'Can I find happiness?' He might be left -- He might be the first Bachelor in the history of this entire franchise to be left at the end," Chris said Monday on Good Morning America.

"And believe me when I tell you he knows that," Chris added.

The Bachelor's currently-airing 21st season marks Nick's fourth attempt at finding love on reality TV. Nick got dumped by both former The Bachelorette stars Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe on Seasons 10 and 11, respectively, and then failed to find a deep connection with Jennifer Saviano on Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise last summer.

Although Nick has made a habit of leaving final Rose Ceremonies in the franchise heartbroken, Bachelor Nation is hoping either Vanessa Grimaldi or Raven Gates becomes Nick's fiancee.

"He's narrowed it down to two incredible women," Chris said of the two remaining bachelorettes whom Nick must choose between on the March 13 finale set in Finland.

Chris revealed he "was not surprised by Nick's decision."

Chris said on one hand, Raven, a 25-year-old Arkansas clothing boutique owner, is like "apple pie." And as far as her competition goes, Chris actually admitted on GMA, "I am stunned that Vanessa made it this far."

The longtime host explained of Vanessa though, "She is a brilliant woman and I think sometimes her brain just gets the best of her."

At the end of the day, "They could not be more different these two," Chris noted. "Different walks of life, different worlds, different accents, different everything. But both check off boxes, to be so crass, of things that mean a lot to him."

As previews have teased for the big finale fast approaching on ABC, Nick fell in love with both women.

"What I find fascinating about this show, is the capacity for people to love more than one person at a time," Chris noted. "We all have this capacity to do it, I just don't think we allow ourselves because it's taboo."
