"Bad Santa's" Ryan Pinkston is starring in a new police-oriented sitcom for NBC called "5-0," it was reported Monday.

The comedy about a "vertically-challenged cop" is being written and produced by "Cockblockers" scribe Greg Coolidge, Daily Variety said.
Pinkston will play a 5-foot tall, 18-year-old rookie cop who -- trying to impress his police chief father -- reluctantly takes on assignments such as going undercover as a student.
Pinkston just finished his first top-billed feature film, "Nothing but the Truth," which will be released next year by New Line, Variety said.
