Ironically, the mother of John Sanders, 33, of North Kingston, R.I., spent Mother's Day bailing him out of jail instead of making the trip to the zoo they had planned, the Boston Globe reported.
Sanders was accused in a Saturday incident on the Texas Instruments Inc. campus in which a goose hissed at Sanders, causing him to fall in mud and sparking an angry attack.
Police said a witness saw Sanders kick the adult goose and jump up and down on five baby goslings.
"I'm heartbroken over what happened," Sanders told the newspaper after his release Sunday on $600 bail on the felony charges. "I felt threatened, and then when I slipped, I felt desperate because they were all around me,"
Sanders said he would speak about what happened next at his court hearing.
