Queensland Premier Peter Beattie wants "Australian Idol" to bring back Dan England, saying he may have been unfairly voted off during the time change.

Beattie wrote to the show's producers saying Queensland residents lost an hour of voting time when the rest of Australia's east coast switched to daylight savings time, Daily Variety reported.

Because Queensland does not switch its clocks, "Australian Idol" votes closed out an hour earlier there.

England was ejected on one of the closest votes in "Idol" history with just 27 votes separating him from his nearest rival.
