Authorities in Maine said they arrested a man accused of randomly attacking two men in costume at a Free Comic Book Day event.
Police Lt. Gary Hutcheson said Adam Barnes, 31, of Westbrook, allegedly attacked a man dressed as a "Ghostbusters" character and another dressed as a "Star Wars" stormtrooper outside Coast City Comics in Maine during a Free Comic Book Day event that was attended by several others in costume, the Portland Press Herald reported Monday.
Hutcheson said police believe intoxication was Barnes' only motive for the attack.
"It was completely random," Hutcheson said.
Barnes was arrested nearby when officers subdued him with a stun gun. He was charged with two counts of assault, one count of disorderly conduct and five counts of criminal threatening of five police officers at the scene. He was ordered held in lieu of $1,500 bail.
