NBC's crown prince of comedy, "My Name is Earl," is staging a Thursday night palace coup, dethroning the "Four Kings."

The Peacock Network announced it was pulling the "Kings" starting this week and replacing it with reruns of "Earl," Zap2it.com reported Wednesday.
The freshman comedy centered around four buddies sharing a New York apartment had been on a five-week hiatus and returned to its slot last week following "Will & Grace."
The show averaged about 9 million viewers in the first two weeks of January, but has only managed to crack the 7 million mark once since then.
