Jason Aldean and former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr have tied the knot.

The couple wed on Saturday, March 21 at night in Mexico, Us Weekly reported.

"This is the best day ever -- I've got my girl here, my friends, my family -- it's the best day ever!" Aldean, 38, told Us in a statement.

"Today has been the best day of my life," Kerr, 27, added. "I feel like the luckiest woman to have been able to marry my best friend."

Among the guests at the ceremony was Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson.

Aldean, a country singer, proposed to Kerr at the San Diego Zoo back in September 2014, which was six months after confirming they were dating and two years after he was caught cheating with her on his now ex-wife Jessica Ussery.

Aldean and Ussery have two daughters together -- Keeley, 12, and Kendyl, 7 -- who both reportedly attended the wedding.

Aldean was photographed kissing Kerr in a West Hollywood bar back in September 2012. Although both individuals expressed regret and embarrassment at the time, Aldean filed for divorce from Ussery seven months later in April 2013 after 12 years of marriage.

Once news of Aldean and Kerr's romantic relationship circulated in March of last year, the country star was heavily criticized for his actions.

"So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing," Aldean tweeted at the time.

"I'm happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It's time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon."

Kerr is a former NBA cheerleader for the Charlotte Bobcats who appeared as a contestant on Idol's eleventh season but didn't make it into the semifinals. The edition aired in early 2012.
