HBO denies rumor that 'The Sopranos' feature film is in the works

A representative for HBO said there is no truth to a rumor that a big-screen version of the hit New Jersey-set mob drama "The Sopranos" is in the works.

The Newark Star-Ledger said the manager of Satin Dolls, the topless bar that doubled for the show's Bada Bing nightclub, has been telling people he is postponing planned work on the place because a tipster told him a "Sopranos" movie was going to be made.

But a spokesman for HBO told the newspaper, "There's no truth to this rumor."

The award-winning series ended last year after six seasons.
