The former The Bachelorette star and husband Joe Waterman are having their second child, who will join the couple's 14-month-old daughter Mae Elizabeth Waterman born in November 2010.
"I'm very excited," Schefft, who is currently three months pregnant, toldUs Weekly.
"The kids will be about two years apart, which is a great age difference."
Schefft doesn't know the gender of the baby but insisted she'll be thrilled either way.
"I would love a boy and a girl," she told Us.
Schefft and Waterman wed in May 2009 after meeting on a blind date in February 2008 and dating for a little over a year.
Schefft first appeared on The Bachelor's 2003 third-season, where Andrew Firestone proposed to her during the finale. However, the couple split in December 2003 after dating only a few months.
She then went on to star in The Bachelorette's third season two years later, but rejected marriage proposals from both of her final two bachelor suitors during the season's final Rose Ceremony.
