The only non-NBC reality telecast on any network this summer to top Monday’s “Fear Factor” encore in the coveted Adults 18-49 ratings demographic has been the Tuesday June 3 premiere of “American Juniors,” according to preliminary Monday results. The September 1 “Fear Factor” rebroadcast is currently listed ahead of every first-run telecast this summer of CBS’ “Big Brother,” “Amazing Race” and “Cupid,” Fox’s “American Juniors Wednesday,” “Paradise Hotel,” “Temptation Island,” “Performing As…,” “Anything For Love,” “Banzai,” “Stupid Behavior Caught on Tape” and “30 Seconds to Fame,” and ABC’s “Dating Experiment,” “Real Roseanne Show” and “The Family.”

According to preliminary “fast affiliate-based” in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, the Labor Day telecast of “Fear Factor” (4.5 rating, 13 share among adults 18-49, 10.9 million viewers overall) achieved the show’s highest 18-49 rating outside the traditional television season since Sept. 5, 2001. It’s the highest-rated “Fear Factor” encore telecast inside or outside the regular season since March 17, 2003.

“Fear Factor” won the 8-9 p.m. ET hour Monday in virtually all key ratings categories and improved by a hefty 36 percent on its Labor Day 2002 rating among adults 18-49 (3.3/9). Last Monday’s margin of victory in 18-49 was a towering 73 percent over CBS’ second-place comedy rebroadcasts.

NBC remained in a virtual tie for the #1 spot Monday night from 9-10 p.m. ET with a “For Love or Money 2” reunion special, which scored a preliminary 3.8/10 in 18-49 and attracted 8.9 million viewers in that hour. The full “For Love 2” episode ran from approximately 9-10:10 p.m. ET. The 9-10 p.m. rating in 18-49 is a huge 81 percent improvement over NBC’s time-period result on Labor Day 2002 (2.1/5).

From 10-11 p.m. ET, “Meet My Folks” and the closing minutes of “For Love 2” averaged a 3.4/9 among adults 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers overall, which currently keeps NBC a close #2 in 18-49 and puts it #1 among adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49. For the hour, NBC is up 62 percent over its 18-49 result in the time period on Labor Day 2002 (2.1/5).
