Carrie Ann Inaba of "Dancing with the Stars" says her fiance proposed to her on live television to share the event with their far-flung families.

Inaba was filling in for Kelly Ripa Thursday on "Live! With Regis and Kelly" when boyfriend Jesse Sloan appeared on the set with a diamond ring and popped the question on bended knee.
Inaba explained via Twitter Friday that Sloan "wanted to share our engagement with our families" in New York, Hawaii, Colorado and California, Us Magazine said.
"This way they could all witness the moment," she tweeted.
