UPI News Service, 09/01/2011

Burt Reynolds says he has never undergone a facelift but admits he has had his eyes done to repair damage sustained in stunt fights.

"I was never lifted," the 75-year-old actor told OK! magazine.

"I would not have a problem with the truth, but I inherited my smooth skin from my father. ... In the mid '80s, after some fights in a film, I had to have my eyes done. For one, I almost went blind because I got black powder in my eye. Also, I had terrible sacks under my eyes from the many fist fights. My eyes were not in form any more. I had that corrected."

Reynolds has starred in "Smokey and the Bandit," "The Cannonball Run," "The Longest Yard," "Sharky's Machine," "Stroker Ace" and "Boogie Nights" -- for which he earned a supporting actor Oscar nomination in 1997.
