'Borat' tops weekend movie box office, 'Santa Clause 3' second

"Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" was No. 1 in gross U.S. box office receipts this weekend.

The spoof raked in more than $26.37 million while showing on only 837 screens, as opposed to the typical 2,500 to 3,500.
"The Santa Clause 3" was No. 2 with $20 million while showing on just under 3,500 screens.

The animated "Flushed Away" was No. 4 with $19.1 million; "Saw III" fourth with $15.5 million; "The Departed" fifth with $8 million; "The Prestige" sixth with more than $7.78 million.
"Flags of Our Fathers" was seventh with $4.5 million; "Man of the Year" eighth with a little more than $3.82 million; and "Open Season" ninth with $3.1 million.
"The Queen" rounded out the top 10 with a little more than $3 million.
