Becca Kufrin's reaction to Colton Underwood revealing he's a virgin was a little over the top and unnecessary, at least according to last season's The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay.

"As surprising as it was that he is/was a virgin, I did not think it called for the dramatics of walking away from the table coupled with some moments of contemplation by Becca," Rachel wrote in her Us Weekly blog, referencing how Becca had to excuse herself from the conversation and reflect on the new information.
"He's a virgin, you can deal with it or not. After deep, deep thought over the matter, Becca decided to deal with it and give Colton the rose."
Colton explained to Becca that he only had one serious relationship before going on the show and didn't have a lot of dates or girlfriends because he had been focused on his professional football career.
Although Colton used to be ashamed of his virginity -- as he confessed to making up lies in the locker room to save face -- now he's proud of himself and can't wait to give a girl he loves that special gift.
"He wears his virginity like a badge of honor or a scarlet letter, depending upon how you look at it," Rachel said.
"With all that being said, kudos to Colton for not being the stereotypical athlete. That bit of information is refreshing."

Colton told Becca that he's not waiting for marriage; he's just waiting for the right woman to come into his life.
He also revealed "only a handful of people" knew about his virginity, so it was a huge step for him to be so candid with Becca on The Bachelorette.
"Can I just ask a question? Colton said only a handful of people know that he is a virgin. Is that handful that he is referring to in reference to the guys in the house? They all know about his virginity, yet he said that his dad doesn't know," Rachel pointed out.

Colton's competition in the house thought Becca might be turned off by his lack of experience in dating and relationships, but Becca clearly liked him enough to give him a rose and visit his hometown and family.

"Becca stated that she needs some conch in her life but we know Colton is not the one to give it to her," Rachel quipped.
