During the upcoming October 22 episode of her "Let's Talk About It With Taylor Nolan" podcast, Taylor spoke candidly with The Bachelor alum Vanessa Grimaldi about her love life, Us Weekly reported.

"I have ended my no longer current relationship. I don't know how you say that," Taylor, 26, reportedly told her pal on the podcast.

Taylor declined to reveal the man's identity and so she called him "Canada Man" throughout the conversation.

"I'm now single. 'Canada man' and I have decided to part ways and it was a little over a year, like a few weeks over a year. It was really a long time coming actually," Taylor shared, according to Us.

"It's October now, we were together since last September and since March I've been unhappy. So it was -- when I looked at the cumulation of the time that we had been together -- it was, like, for over half of this relationship, I haven't been happy and it's not getting any better. It's just getting worse and worse."

Taylor therefore had to think about her future and what would be best for her.

"It's like, 'How much longer do I really want to do this for?'" she reportedly recalled of her relationship with "Canada Man."

"I want more than this. I'm worthy of more than this. I wouldn't want a friend to stay in this."

The mental health counselor found fame when she competed for Nick Viall's heart on Season 21 of The Bachelor in 2017. (Vanessa appeared on the same season and got engaged to Nick in the finale).

Taylor went on to find love that summer on Bachelor in Paradise's fourth season with Derek, whom she got engaged to during the finale.

Taylor and Derek, however, announced their decision to split and call off their engagement in late June 2018 after trying to make a long-distant relationship work.

"We put everything we could into our relationship and are heartbroken to go forward separately, but we know this is the best decision for the both of us," the pair told Us in a joint statement at the time.

"We will still be present in each other's lives with support, admiration and respect for each other."

When Vanessa, 32, asked Taylor if she'd be open to reconciling with Derek, 31, at some point, Taylor reportedly hesitated.

"I think there are parts of the relationship with Derek where you really do and did appreciate," Vanessa told Taylor, who agreed.

"Parts of the relationship that maybe Canada Man didn't have," Vanessa added, "that Derek was able to give you."

Taylor acknowledged she learned something important following her failed relationship with Canada Man.

"I realized... I have been craving that affection, and that it was difficult to be in a relationship and not have that affection and that it was something that I experienced with Derek," Taylor reportedly admitted.

"And that I felt very strongly with him."

Taylor, however, revealed she hasn't spoken to Derek in "over a year."

Taylor later insisted she wouldn't get back together with Derek, according to Us, but a source told the magazine differently.

"Taylor would not rule out the possibility of getting back together with Derek," the source claimed. "As they never really received closure."

Derek just appeared on Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season this past summer and became a fan-favorite.

While Season 6 of BIP was airing in late August, Derek landed a lot of support to become the franchise's leading man for 2020, before Peter Weber was officially announced as The Bachelor star for Season 24.

Bachelor Nation -- including Wells Adams, Chris Randone and Kristina Schulman -- campaigned for Derek to be the Bachelor due to his mature reaction to Demi Burnett's conflicted heart and her coming out on Bachelor in Paradise.

Derek fell hard for Demi in Paradise and they quickly became the most established and healthy couple in Mexico, but Demi was secretly thinking about a woman she had been dating at home prior to the show, Kristian Haggerty.

The more Demi got to know and care for Derek, the more she thought about and missed Kristian as well. Demi therefore had to be open with Derek about where she stood, and he was nothing but compassionate and supportive.

"I can't put myself in her shoes. Truth be told, I can't understand the level of bravery and courage that it took to say to me," Derek told the cameras.

Derek hoped to continue his relationship with Demi despite the fact she had strong feelings for someone else, but she ultimately chose Kristian.

"I always get hurt," Derek said, before promising Demi that he wasn't blaming her.

"You're everything anyone could ever want, but it's just what my heart feels," Demi told Derek, adding that he's the "most amazing guy" she had ever dated.

Derek vented about how he's never a woman's first choice. He was tired of being told he's "a great guy" considering he never ends up with the girl, and he questioned whether he'd ever find a relationship in which his feelings are reciprocated.

Derek later quit Bachelor in Paradise after having a brief fling with Tayshia Adams that ended with her dumping him as well.

Derek first competed for JoJo Fletcher's heart on The Bachelorette's twelfth season, but he didn't make it very far.
