The next morning, the girls see this weird bald man with makeup wearing a white dress with orange flowers and an orange jacket. He’s weird, for sure. His name is James St. James. He explains to them that he is a club kid and that, with style, you can do anything, even be a 40-year-old man looking like a clown in a dress and still be stylish. So, the girls have 500$ and 1 hour and a half to find clothes that will compliment the style that super-makeup-dude (Jay Manuel) told them that they should have the day before (by the way, that was a brilliant idea to do this this year; in past seasons, girls were soooooooooo confused after their makeovers!). And go!
Super-clueless-girl (Lisa) reminds us off camera that she is an assistant wardrobe stylist so no one knows fashion more than she does and she declares that she will win this. Super-pageant-girl (Cassandra) is with super-braids-girl (Ebony) and kind of bosses her around and asks her for help, etc. The former asks constantly whether this or that is “mod.” She has no clue what “mod” is. Honey, you should have asked super-makeup-dude (Jay Manuel)! He would have told you what he meant and it would have been easier for you.
Finally, the girls go back in front of James St. James and they each have to go forward and tell him what super-makeup-dude (Jay Manuel) told them for their style. A lot of the girls over-accessorized. A few got compliments. The winner of the challenge was super-clueless-girl (Lisa). She gets to keep her entire outfit. Plus, she has to choose 2 friends. She chooses super-braids-girl (Ebony) and super-Twiggy-like-girl (Kim). Super-clueless-girl gets to choose 3 items from the other girls and keep them. The other 2 girls each get to choose one item from the other girls.
Back at the house, somewhat drunk on her win, super-clueless-girl (Lisa) started showing the girls how to pose and the knee should be this way and you should have your arms that way. As her nickname indicates, she was clueless as to the fact that the girls did not want to hear her advice. Off camera, though, super-clueless-girl tells us that she wants the competition to be as fierce as possible so that, when she wins, it’s going to be because she really deserves it, etc. Not a bad idea. But the other girls were fed up with her non-stop talking. Off camera and on camera, the girls say that they were fed up… but, girls, you should have told her to just shut up more or less politely. Oh, never mind. This was just girls being girls and bitching behind another girl’s back. (and the previews made us think that it was going to be super-pageant-girl (Cassandra) who was going to be the obnoxious one for that part of the show… interesting)
The next day, the girls have a photo shoot. They are instructed by super-makeup-dude (Jay Manuel) to choose a partner. Once everyone has a partner, super-makeup-dude explains that the photo shoot will be a direct competition between the partners. Big sigh from the girls. Partners will be wearing the same outfit and will have to work it the best. They will be directly compared one to the other. And they can’t see each other posing. Okay. This shall be interesting. And, indeed, it was. Most girls seemed to manage to do a good job. Super-makeup-dude, though, didn’t like working with super-pageant-girl (Cassandra) all that much because he felt like he had to direct her too much and it took so much energy. He said that it was like making a model there. Super-braids-girl (Ebony) had a hard time feeling her outfit and her new do. And maybe super-clueless-girl (Lisa) going in psychological war mode against her didn’t help. And there was one thing that puzzled super-makeup-dude somewhat: super-Twiggy-like-girl (Kim) and super-Dairy-Queen-girl (Kyle) are both wearing pant suits but the very boyish super-Twiggy-like-girl looked way sexier and way more feminine than the actual feminine girl.

Back at the house, they have Tyra mail that informs them that elimination will be the next day. Obviously, some girls are scared. The only one who is apparently not scared (although her chatter might be nervousness) was super-clueless-girl (Lisa) who announces that, anyway, she’s going to be the winner this season.
Now, the “best” comment in ANTM history yet… It came from super-pageant-girl (Cassandra) who informs us off camera that, if this thing doesn’t work, she will go back to pageantry as she feels that pageants will help her more develop as a woman compared with modeling, which is… pause… slight snicker… a career. What the hell? What type of a comment is this? Pageantry will help you develop more as a woman than a career? That is simply complete BS. Having a career, getting hardships from time to time will help you build character and will help you develop as a person. Playing princess and being sheltered will not do that for you. I personally developed tremendously thanks to my career. Geez!
The guest judge this week is James St. James. The girls are asked to come in pairs in front of the judges. First are super-eyebrows-girl (Coryn) and super-clumsy-girl (Sarah). Super-photographer-dude (Nigel Barker) instructs them and other girls that, when they come forward, to please walk with confidence. Tyra asks super-eyebrows-girl what her style was supposed to be and she replies, “sophisticated?” Tyra asks, “And this is sophisticated?” Super-runway-dude (J. Alexander) gives her a fashion violation ticket and says that it’s not good. They show the 2 pictures side by side and the panel loves super-clumsy-girl quite a bit and they think that super-eyebrows-girl (Coryn) looks a lot like Tyra in that picture (and it is absolutely true).
Next are super-Twiggy-like-girl (Kim) and super-Dairy-Queen-girl (Kyle). The judges would like to see super-Twiggy-like-girl straight on, especially since last week’s picture was also a profile. Super-Dairy-Queen-girl was told by super-photographer-dude (Nigel Barker) not to try so hard because she does not need to. By the way, I love the picture with super-Twiggy-like-girl… and it makes me want that outfit badly!
Super-pageant-girl (Cassandra) and super-corrupted-girl (Jayla) come up and, immediately, Tyra announces that she is not pleased with super-pageant-girl’s hair, as she had specifically requested Rosemary’s Baby hair. So, if she survives the elimination, super-pageant-girl’s hair will be cut even shorter. Super-pageant-girl looks a bit shocked and stunned at this (and it made me wonder if she somehow convinced the hair stylist to cut her hair longer than was supposed to be done). Twiggy then explains that, when she started, she had the typical long hair and looked just like everybody. When she cut her hair super short, it completely transformed her life and she was renowned after that (actually, usually, the pics that we ever see of Twiggy are her with short hair). She says, however, that she was in shock for weeks over the transformation. Tyra looks at super-corrupted-girl and also thinks that her hair is not working for her. She liked her hair shorter so if she survives the elimination, she will also get a hair cut. Super-corrupted-girl seems pleased. Now, on to the pictures. They pictures are judged to be okay but super-corrupted-girl does not show her eyes enough. She starts explaining that there was too much sun and Tyra interrupts and explains what should be done when there is sun outside. She says that you count (she closes her eyes) 1-2-3 and then she opened her eyes and posed. As for super-pageant-girl, the judges think that she had not adapted to her hair yet. Super-pageant-girl mildly protests that she was okay with her hair but that it just didn’t show up on film.
Super-braids-girl (Ebony) and super-clueless-girl (Lisa) are up next. Unfortunately, super-braids-girl’s face was hidden by hair so the judges are disappointed. However, super-clueless-girl receives rave praises for her picture. The judges kind of ask her how come her pic is so good and she explains that she has practiced posing in the mirror since she was like 7 and she demonstrates some poses, at the judges’ request.
Now, on to super-sexy-plus-girl (Diane) and super-kitty-girl (Nicole). Super-sexy-plus-girl could have done better and should have shown her body more. Super-kitty-girl amazes the judges and super-photographer-dude (Nigel Barker) announces that this is the best picture in the competition so far. James St. James adds that seeing her picture evokes all kinds of thoughts in his head; at this, super-photographer-dude said that he was glad that HE said that because he couldn’t get away with it (but it sounded like he was thinking the same thing). By the way, I love that picture from super-kitty-girl too and I want that outfit badly too! Sigh!
The last pair is super-cheese-girl (Bre) and super-frizzy-girl (Nik). Unfortunately for super-cheese-girl, she did a very good job in her picture but super-frizzy-girl did an even better job. The judges thought that she showed the dress to its full potential. Oh, hell yeah! If that picture would be in a fashion magazine, I would immediately look for where to find the items! I want that outfit too!
Time for deliberation. The girls are called back and they are told that, out of the 6 pairs of pictures, they have chosen the strongest of the 2 pictures. So, the 6 that are called are super-pageant-girl (Cassandra), super-kitty-girl (Nicole), super-eyebrows-girl (Coryn), super-Twiggy-like-girl (Kim), super-clueless-girl (Lisa), and super-frizzy-girl (Nik). The 6 remaining girls look very very disappointed. Next, super-cheese-girl (Bre), super-corrupted-girl (Jayla), super-clumsy-girl (Sarah), and super-Dairy-Queen-girl (Kyle) are called. So, there are only 2 girls left: super-braids-girl (Ebony) and super-sexy-plus-size-girl (Diane). Tyra starts off by saying to super-sexy-plus-size-girl that she has a great face and a great body but it hasn’t been captured on film yet. Tyra tells super-braids-girl (Ebony) that what got her there was her drive but the judges think that her dream might only be a dream. Super-sexy-plus-size-girl (Diane) is called and super-braids-girl (Ebony) is eliminated.
Super-braids-girl (Ebony) starts crying and bids goodbye to the girls. All the girls seem shaken except for a stoic super-pageant-girl (Cassandra).
Next week:
• Super-runway-dude (J. Alexander) will show the girls how to strut. I didn’t get exactly what they said but it seemed like something happened with super-clumsy-girl (Sarah).
• And super-clumsy-girl’s (Sarah) and super-Tiwggy-like-girl’s (Kim) relationship sizzle.
