VH1 has announced it has ordered Couples Therapy, a new reality series which will feature former couples -- including Kahl and Girardi, who appeared together on the second season of Bachelor Pad -- undergoing therapy in attempt to reconcile their relationships, and it will premiere in Spring 2012.

Couples Therapy will feature nationally renowned relationship therapist Dr. Jenn Berman as she examines the complicated high-profile relationships of rapper DMX and Tashera Simmons, former Hogan Knows Best star Linda Hogan and Charlie Hill, seventh-season The Next Food Network Star finalist Chris Nirschel and former Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick, and The A-List: New York star and fourth-season The Amazing Race contestant Reichen Lehmkuhl and fellow The A-List: New York star Rodiney Santiago in addition to Kahl -- a former sixth-season The Bachelorette bachelor -- and Girardi, a former The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love bachelorette.

The new series, which will consist of eight one-hour long episodes, comes from the same producers of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and will chronicle the five couples undergoing a three-week intensive relationship therapy program in which they will participate in group and individual therapy sessions along with relationship exercises out in the "real world," according to the network.

The celebrity couples will strive to solve their issues and re-light the flame despite media scrutiny under the guidance of Dr. Berman -- who is host of the call-in advice program "The Love and Sex Show with Dr. Jenn" on Cosmo Radio, a best-selling author and a counselor who has dealt with a variety of issues such as relationship problems, self-esteem, trauma, sexual abuse, and parenting -- to see if they can move forward together or must call it quits and head their separate ways.

Couples Therapy is being produced by Irwin Entertainment and executive produced by John Irwin, Damian Sullivan, Joel Rodgers, Rob Buchta, Jill Holmes, Tom Huffman, and Jeff Olde.
