Following the season's debut, the network will air an additional episode on Thursday, September 12 from 8-10PM ET/PT.

Fox had announced late last month singer and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland and Mexican singer and actress Paulina Rubio will serve as new mentors and members of The X Factor's third-season judging panel alongside creator and veteran judge Simon Cowell and returning judge Demi Lovato.

Rowland -- who judged The X Factor's U.K. edition in 2011 -- and Rubio will be replacing two-time judge L.A. Reid and second-season judge Britney Spears on the reality singing competition's upcoming panel.

The X Factor's third season will be solely hosted by Mario Lopez, as the network had announced in April Khloe Kardashian will not return to co-host the show.

Lovato announced her return to the show in late March.

Reid announced in December he won't be returning to The X Factor after serving on the panel for two seasons, while Spears confirmed in January she had "made the very difficult decision" not to take on another edition of the series. According to reports, both parties opted to quit the show before Fox could fire them.
