The Bachelor featured Rose Sombke telling Carolina Sofia something that got back to Grant Ellis, Grant scolding his bachelorettes for "belittling" each other, and Carolina angering the other women by monopolizing Grant's time during the Season 29 episode that aired Monday night on ABC.

At the third Rose Ceremony of The Bachelor season, Grant denied roses to Alli Jo Hinkes, a 30-year-old boxing trainer from Manalapan, NJ; Bailey Brown, a 27-year-old social media manager from Atlanta, GA; and Chloie Costello, a 27-year-old model from New York, NY.

"It really sucks. It sucks to feel rejected when you put yourself out there and when someone is asking you to be vulnerable, and I had done just that," Alli Jo cried in her final words.

"I thought I was building a connection with him; obviously he didn't see it. But it really sucks."

In addition, Beverly Ortega, a 30-year-old insurance salesperson from Howard Beach, NY, mysteriously exited The Bachelor competition due to illness.

The Bachelor broadcast began with Grant's remaining bachelorettes learning there would be two one-on-one dates and a fun group date for the week.

The women invited on the group date included Alli Jo; Bailey; Chloie; Alexe Godin, a 27-year-old pediatric speech therapist from New Brunswick, Canada; Dina Lupancu, a 31-year-old attorney from Chicago, IL; Juliana Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old client service associate from Newton, MA; Litia Garr, a 31-year-old venture capitalist from Salt Lake City, UT; and Natalie Phillips, a 25-year-old Ph.D. student from Louisville, KY.

The other ladies who were to accompany Grant on the group date were Parisa Shifteh, a 29-year-old pediatric behavior analyst from Birmingham, MI; Rose, a 27-year-old registered nurse from Chicago, IL; Sarafiena Watkins, a 29-year-old associate media director from New York, NY; and Zoe McGrady, a 27-year-old tech engineer and model from New York, NY.

The two one-on-one dates were therefore going to Beverly and Carolina, a 28-year-old public relations producer from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

For the group date, the ladies dressed in their "power suits" and were asked questions about money and financial planning. They could earn "Grant bucks" for each answer; however, there was a lot of joking around and the women didn't take the questions seriously.

During the competition, Alexe, for example, revealed she had bought butt plugs before.

Zoe didn't seem to appreciate how she was answering things correctly but other women were getting credit just for making people laugh, and in the end, Bailey won the most "Grant bucks" and got to spend extra time with The Bachelor star at the afterparty.

"Let me tell you something: Bailey is a beautiful woman," Grant told the cameras. "I think she's so bubbly and she's so fun. I love to joke around, but I can also be serious at times. I need to know that she can balance that."

Bailey decided to spend her $12,000 on one of Grant's T-shirts to snuggle with at night as well as a special dessert.

During the afterparty, Parisa fed Grant marshmallow rice krispie treats and made him laugh while Zoe announced to the group of girls how she was having a bad day and "drowning" because Grant hadn't paid any attention to her earlier that day. Zoe apparently felt out of her comfort zone and uncomfortable.

Zoe broke down into tears about not getting enough time with Grant, but Sarafiena thought it was "hilarious" since Zoe had been the one to "monopolize" Grant's time during the previous basketball group date.

Alli Jo agreed that Zoe's emotional moment was ironic, and she told the cameras that Zoe better not ruin the night for everyone.

While Zoe was getting a drink at the bar, Sarafiena was shown telling the other girls, "That's the shortest dress I've ever seen in my life."

Zoe could hear people talking about her, and she thought Sarafiena's comment was "rude" and very "mean girl." Zoe couldn't believe she was being treated like that, because she didn't think she had done anything wrong.

"Grant deserves to know what's going on. I'm not going to let him be duped by people who are being fake," Zoe said in a confessional.

When Zoe had her time with Grant, she revealed how women had been "taking jabs" at her and talking behind her back. She said specifically that one girl made fun of her short dress, and Grant replied, "That's not cool."

Zoe chose not to identify Sarafiena by name, but Grant said he didn't want any trash talking or cattiness in the house.

"Don't stop being you. If being you offends other people, then you shouldn't stop," Grant told Zoe before kissing her.

Grant and Juliana then bonded over a love for their dogs and Grant called her laugh "contagious." Grant said he wanted to start building an emotional connection with Juliana because there was no problem on the physical side.

Grant admitted he had a crush on her, and Juliana in turn, gushed about how she really liked Grant and he gave her butterflies.

Grant gave the group-date rose to Parisa because they had so much fun together and he could see her fun and playful side.

Grant proceeded to announce to the cast, "I've heard rumors about people belittling and just making people feel uncomfortable in the house. We have to be kind to each other. I appreciate you all."

Juliana was shocked to hear the news, and Alli Jo also wondered who had said that. Juliana immediately pointed the finger at Zoe and asked her about the situation. Zoe didn't give the women a straight answer, but everyone believed Zoe was the source of that claim.

Zoe ended up crying and leaving the party, and she called the group "so mean." She said no one was being nice or kind to her.

The next day, a lot of the women were "shook" by what Grant had said. Alexe and Sarafiena were in tears, and Alexe vented about how she was trying to be friends with Zoe but Zoe allegedly didn't ask anyone questions about themselves.

Carolina then embarked on her one-on-one date with Grant, and the pair took a private jet to Las Vegas. Grant said Carolina was a blast to hang out with, but he wanted to know how'd she'd be as a partner and how she'd handle high-stress situations.

Once in Vegas, Grant and Carolina jumped off a tower, falling 800 feet. Grant was extremely nervous and scared before letting go, but Carolina was his biggest supporter and gave him the confidence boost he needed.

That night, Grant and Carolina enjoyed a romantic dinner, and Grant gushed about how he could be himself around the bachelorette. Carolina shared how she always wanted marriage and kids but she needed to learn more about herself first.

Carolina told Grant that he had qualities she hadn't been able to find in other people such as his empathy and loyalty.

"I stick around for people, and maybe it's because I know how badly I want people to stick around for me," Carolina cried.

"I have a disability that people can't see. When I was 13, I started getting tremors. My parents sent me to every doctor and we couldn't figure out what it was. One morning, we were going to school and I had a seizure, and I was mortified."

The bachelorette elaborated, "It's not something that I want people to judge me for. Thankfully, I have controlled it with medication, but it's something I have to really take care of. Friends have let me down and romantic partners have let me down."

Carolina explained how not everyone wanted that kind of commitment and she didn't like telling people about her disability because then they'd attach limits to her.

"Like people [say], 'Can she even go to a concert?... She has epilepsy,'" recalled Carolina, who had been diagnosed with epilepsy at age 17.

Carolina said her disability was never going to go away and so her future husband would have to accept her and work with her on that.

Grant was thankful Carolina opened up about her disability, and he said he just wanted to take care of her and protect her heart.

"If we get married, I'm always going to put you first," Grant told Carolina. "You're beautiful, you're funny, you're smart, and most importantly, you have a good heart... I want to get to know every part of you inside and out."

Grant said he could see himself falling in love with Carolina, and the bachelorette gushed about how she had already developed strong feelings for Grant. Carolina started to picture Grant as the love of her life, and she called the date "a 10 out of 10."

The following day, the women were shown discussing how Beverly had gotten very sick and so she left the mansion and wouldn't be coming back.

Sarafiena, Dina and Litia were therefore invited on a mini-group date with Grant.

Natalie cried about how the process was messing with her confidence and she didn't feel seen, which had been the case in a lot of her past relationships. Natalie lamented about how she was tired of feeling second best.

The group date featured Grant and the ladies posing for pictures with dogs and interacting with the pups at Lisa Vanderpump's rescue. Dina, who said she loves dogs and had grown up with 12 dogs, helped Grant give a dog a bath, and she loved seeing Grant's big heart in action.

Grant and Sarafiena took a dog on a walk, and Litia later opened up to Grant about how her feelings for him were very strong. Grant thought Litia was "sincere," and he admitted, "I am very attracted to you."

That night, Carolina was feeling a little stressed out and jealous. While she had signed up for this process, she wasn't finding it easy.

"Even though I had a great time yesterday, I woke up today like, 'I kind of wish I didn't go on that date,'" Carolina confessed to a few women.

Parisa said that was "hard to hear" considering many women hadn't received a one-on-one date yet and would've died for that opportunity.

Grant decided to spend some alone time with Litia that evening, and Sarafiena felt hurt and rejected.

During dinner at City Hall that night, Grant told Litia that the connection they hadn't wasn't easy to come by and he could see a future with her.

The pair talked about family that night, and Grant shared how he had so much love to give and wanted to come home to a kiss and a hug. Grant told Litia that he admired and respected her.

Litia explained how her mother is from Idaho and her father is from Fiji and they gave birth to her in Hawaii.

Litia's dad passed away in an accident when he was young, and so Litia's mother had to step up and be a single mother at age 23. But Litia said she felt lucky to have such a wonderful support system in her mother, grandparents, and cousins growing up.

Grant surprised Litia by letting her FaceTime with her mother, and Grant said, "You did such a great job with your daughter." Litia was so glad that she got to talk to her mother and also that her mom got to meet Grant.

Grant then offered Litia a rose and she "of course" accepted it.

"Litia could be my wife," Grant told the cameras at the end of the evening.

Meanwhile, Carolina was spiraling after a "rough" day away from Grant.

"Off-camera, I had a conversation with Rose and she told me something strange. She said that last week, on our group date, when me and Grant danced together, he told Rose that when he was dancing with me, he was thinking of her. I feel cringey at this point," Carolina cried in a confessional.

Carolina said she wasn't happy and didn't want to continue putting herself out there if she was wasting her time.

The next day, a big gift box arrived for all of the bachelorettes, and corsages were inside. The cast was about to enjoy Prom since Grant had missed his high school prom due to his commitment to basketball. Gary Levingston, Jack Lencioni, Keith Gordon, and Jonathan Rone also showed up to crash the party.

Dina surprised Grant by officially asking him to prom, and he was impressed by her drive and ambition. Dina revealed that she worked really hard but also played really hard. For example, she had traveled to Europe four times.

Alexe and Grant played a game of superlatives, and then Zoe told Grant that she was doing well. Zoe shared how she was a nerd growing up and so she didn't have a prom date. As a result, she asked Grant to slow dance with her, and Zoe thought she got to show Grant a new side of her personality.

Everyone was having a blast, but then Carolina pulled Grant aside for a chat.

Carolina confronted Grant and said, "People are talking and you hear certain things... that you said to someone that you were thinking of them when you were dancing onstage with me. Obviously that hurt."

Grant made a face and blurted out, "Err, time out! Who told you that? It's like I'm trying to spit game. I'm not here to do that. I'm here to find a wife, and I try to approach things with honesty and I try to be respectful."

Grant continued, "So I wouldn't sit here and tell somebody that and disrespect you like that. If I was thinking about somebody else while I was dancing with you onstage, I would've been dancing with them."

Grant said that didn't make sense and seemed "kind of personal because that's a lie" and it was a judgment on his character.

Grant guessed that maybe Bailey, Dina or Litia had said something. When Carolina denied it was any of those women, Grant knew it was Rose.

Grant, who insisted he had never said anything like that, therefore pulled Rose aside for a tense and straightforward conversation. Grant wanted to "get to the bottom" of the situation because it was bothering him.

Grant asked Rose about what she had allegedly told Carolina, and Rose replied, "I thought that was something that I heard you say."

"Why would I say that?" Grant asked.

"Okay, yeah," Rose conceded.

"That's disrespectful, and that looks bad on my character," Grant explained.

"Right," Rose agreed.

"I wouldn't do that, you know?" Grant said.

Grant continued, "For me to belittle somebody else that I have a connection with, that's some player sh-t, and I'm not a player. I'm not. I'm not running game... and it makes it look like I'm not really here to find a wife."

Rose admitted she was spiraling when she had said that during a time of comparing notes with the other women.

"That wasn't a good moment for me, when we were talking about it. And honestly, I think we're both in the position where we both care about you and we both like you. I could've easily made that mistake where I really thought you said something like that and I was just wrong," Rose explained.

Rose owned her words and apologized for her mistake, and she added, "I'm sorry it hurt your character. That was not what my intention was."

Rose said that was something she thought Grant had actually said.

Rose recalled having a "private" conversation with Carolina that she never thought was going to get back to Grant.

Grant subsequently reiterated to Carolina how he had never said that to Rose. Grant was clearly upset, and Juliana accused Carolina of ruining everyone else's night.

Chloie missed out on time with Grant as a result. Sarafiena also said Caroline's issue had cut into her time.

"This whole situation could've been avoided if there was just a little bit more critical thinking," Chloie told the cameras.

Rose predicted that there was a good chance she'd be going home that night.

At the third Rose Ceremony of the season, Grant gave out roses to Zoe, Juliana, Alexe, Dina, Natalie, Sarafiena, and Rose.

Grant therefore eliminated Alli Jo, Bailey, and Chloie.

Grant said he decided to give Rose a rose because, although she had made a mistake, they definitely had a connection and so he just wanted to move forward.

"It just sucks when you want somebody to know you and you don't really get that opportunity to show them," Chloie cried in her final words.

"And just because there was some bullsh-t from Carolina and Rose on their group date days ago, I just feel like I kind of lost my chance, a little bit."

And Bailey left the mansion saying that she felt "blank" and her ouster was "really unfortunate."

"At the end of the day, it's not meant for me, and I know that. I just wish I didn't cry so much and wish I didn't have to be so filled with intense emotions on this journey," Bailey concluded.
