[Bachelor Spoilers Warning: This report contains spoilers for the entire season of The Bachelor, including who Grant Ellis picked as his winner and if he is engaged.]
Grant, a 31-year-old day trader from New Jersey who currently resides in Houston, TX, was just shown enjoying his first week of dates on The Bachelor's 29th season.
Grant embarked on a one-on-one date with Alexe Godin as well as two group dates in California. The two women who each received a group-date rose were Natalie Phillips and Litia Garr.
During the basketball group date, Zoe McGrady rubbed the other ladies the wrong way by stealing Grant away for an intimate conversation in the middle of a game.
Juliana Pasquarosa and Alli Jo Hinkes complained that Zoe's behavior was "disrespectful," but Zoe clapped back and said, "I think all is fair in love and war, and the [Date] Card said, 'Shoot your shot,' and so I shot my shot."
Tension also heated up during Grant's R&B group date, which featured Carolina Sofia performing a rap in Spanish.
Grant called Carolina "a firecracker," and she proved that when she straddled and made out with The Bachelor star in front of a whole group of bachelorettes as well as a live audience.
"Feeling bad for their situation kind of puts a damper on my own happiness," Carolina lamented in a confessional.
But Grant assured Carolina that he'd protect her and have her back, and he asked the bachelorette to come to him if any of the women ended up giving her a hard time.
Grant could tell something was "off" at the afterparty, and he told Carolina that he would have her back and protect her from hate and backlash.
Despite some drama, Grant also made a couple of strong connections during Week 1.
Grant, for instance, felt "on top of the world" during his date with Alexe.
"It feels like I'm living in a dream. It's just so romantic. I see something with Alexe. She's a kid at heart, and I'm the same way, and so I feel a connection," Grant gushed to the cameras.

And Grant admitted to Litia that he had the tendency to "fall fast" in relationships, suggesting that he was already falling for her.
After all, Grant and Litia were able to develop an emotional connection when bonding over how they were both sick of dating and finding people who don't desire a long-term commitment.
At the second Rose Ceremony of the season, Grant eliminated Allyshia Gupta, Ella, Rebekah G., and Vicky Nyamuswa.
The Bachelor previews suggest that Grant was torn between his Final 2 bachelorettes. So who are those women and how does Grant's season end?
