The Bachelor host Chris Harrison apparently isn't a big fan of the show's star Juan Pablo Galavis.

Harrison seemed to take several shots at Galavis during a recent interview with TV Guide -- from the way The Bachelor star treats the women, to how he makes decisions throughout the process.

"I think everyone is grasping at straws to try and make sense of Juan Pablo and how he forms his ideas, opinions and rules," Harrison told TV Guide.

Harrison began by standing up for Clare Crawley, who was confused and hurt by Galavis' change of heart after they swam in the ocean together and madeout late at night.

Galavis was initially enthusiastic about the event but turned around and expressed guilt and regret later on for disrespecting his four-year-old daughter and being unfair to her fellow bachelorettes. Galavis' strong reaction and Crawley's emotional breakdown led viewers to believe they had sex in the water.

"It made sense to me later. I think for a guy to feel that guilty, people thought there was no way he just kissed her. Where did all that shame come from? So I think people felt the only way a guy would feel that guilty is if it went further than he wanted it to," Harrison said.

"I told her she should've been [upset] because when do you get to invoke the daughter rule? Here's the thing: He's a great dad and he loves his daughter, so he's not using his daughter. But at the same time, to bring that up to somebody is a delicate situation and so it really muddied the water and confused things."

After speaking with Galavis on their one-on-one date, Crawley seemed to quickly forgive him for the misunderstanding. She felt good about his explanation and the fact he owned up to his mistake of not just declining her invitation to swim in the ocean. However, Harrison didn't quite catch the apology Crawley was so happy about.

"She felt like he had really apologized and felt bad, but I was like, 'What exactly did he say?' because he never really gave her any answers. All of a sudden she felt great about it. I don't know if he out-talked her or she just got lost in translation, but I got to the end of the date and was like, where was the apology?" Harrison said.

The host suggested Galavis can't help thinking with one part of his body over his brain and heart when it comes to Crawley.

"They have this crazy chemistry and maybe that's why he feels guilty because he cannot keep his hands and mind off of her. She could be wearing a burlap sack and he'd attack the girl," Harrison joked.

Similarly, Harrison apparently believes Galavis and Sharleen Joynt's connection was mostly physical and they had little to talk about.

"Sharleen has been an enigma since she got out of the limo. I find their relationship so intriguing. In New Zealand, she didn't even say hello before he jumped on her and started making out with her. Even she was like, 'What was that?' It's like, 'I don't know what to say to you, we have very little in common, so I'm going to just make out with you,'" Harrison told TV Guide

"Since the moment when she almost turned down the first impression rose, she keeps riding this and gets caught up in the moment, but then later upon reflection, she's like, 'I don't know.' After [this week's] Rose Ceremony, I started looking at the monitors and saw Sharleen crying and was like, 'What did I miss?' It's been hard to put a finger on her the entire time and I don't know what it is, but it'll come to a head and continue in Miami."

Harrison also called out the 32-year-old single dad and former pro soccer player from Venezuela for eliminating Cassandra Ferguson on her birthday -- which Galavis was allegedly warned about beforehand despite his claim he "almost died" when the women told him after Ferguson left that she had just turned 22.

"I talked to him and was like, 'You know it's her birthday, right?' I felt bad, but he said, 'What am I going to do? I know I want her to go home. Should I not break up with her on her birthday just to break up with her a day later?' I agreed, but the circumstances were brutal. She'll always remember her 22nd birthday!" Harrison explained.
