After spending 39 days in the relative peace and tranquility of the tropical islands of Vanuatu, Survivor: Vanuatu winner Chris Daugherty wanted something different for his wedding. On Sunday, he got his wish.

Chris and his girlfriend, Lorie Groves, were married in Victory Lane at the Daytona International Speedway. Serving as honorary best man for the couple was longtime NASCAR star Mark Martin, who is beginning his last season of full-time driving on the Nextel Cup championship circuit.

During the ceremony, International Race of Champions (IROC) cars were practicing on the track, creating a constant background drone, to the delight of the bride and groom. Martin told Florida Today that "every time [the IROC cars] came by, instead of that being an irritation, that was exactly what they wanted."

The happy couple agreed. Said Chris, "You don't pass up an opportunity to get married at Daytona, especially in Victory Lane. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience." We certainly hope so.

Martin didn't come away empty-handed for his role in helping the wedding take place. Before the nuptials, Lorie bought a new special edition Ford truck from his Ford dealership in his hometown of Batesville, Ark.

In addition, Mark Martin's sponsor may have encouraged him to participate to help link it with weddings ... and wedding nights. His sponsor: Viagra.

No word on whether his sponsor provided the newlyweds with any free samples.
