Nick Viall has three major turn-offs, ladies, so take note if you'll be competing for his heart on The Bachelor's upcoming season.

The one thing Viall really can't stand is baby talk.

"[It's] terrible," Viall, 35, told People. "Like, nothing will ruin a moment like baby talk. That is not good."

Viall, a software salesman, is also very punctual and anticipates his girlfriend -- or future wife -- will be the same way.

"I don't like being late," he explained. "[But] I mean, it's not the be-all, end-all."

And Strike 3 would be a bachelorette who smokes cigarettes.

"I've never smoked a cigarette," Viall insisted to the magazine. "That's pretty gross."

When it comes to what Viall does want in a partner, he's pretty much looking for a woman similar to his past loves Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe from The Bachelorette, both of whom he tried to propose marriage to.

"I mean, I've always been attracted to genuine confidence," Viall revealed. "I think sometimes that's hard to figure out. Sometimes people can seem very confident, but then... not so much."

The upcoming Bachelor also prefers a "strong personality," though "that could also vary too."

"I have a big personality," Viall confessed. "I can be a lot to handle, and I need someone to be able to challenge me, and not in a negative way where they get frustrated, but more that they can keep up. I want someone who wants me to do the same."

That could be why Viall's relationship with Jennifer Saviano didn't work out on the third season of Bachelor in Paradise this summer. She seemed a little bit more quiet and reserved than the women Viall typically dates -- at least on television.

The Bachelor's next season will premiere in January 2017. Viall defeated frontrunner Luke Pell, the war veteran and cowboy from JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette, for the coveted role.
