In addition, a new talk show tentatively-titled Discovery After Dark will debut directly after Naked and Afraid's second-season premiere at 10:15PM ET/PT and take on a similar format to the network's first-ever live talk show Shark After Dark, which aired during Shark Week 2013.

Each week on Naked and Afraid, a new pair of male and female strangers will be stripped down naked and left stranded in a remote area of the world to survive on instincts alone. The duo of survivalists will be forced to endure extreme weather conditions with no food, water or clothes over the course of 21 days. They will each, however, be allowed one personal item.

Discovery After Dark will be hosted by Joe Bereta, who will be joined by Shark After Dark's Bob "the shark" Oschack and social correspondent Taryn Southern.

In the Discovery After Dark's broadcasts, Bereta will talk to the castaways from that night's Naked and Afraid episode to get a more in-depth look at what those 21 days were actually like. The talk show will also feature celebrity guests, some familiar Discovery faces, behind-the-scenes footage of Naked and Afraid, and in-studio stunts.

Viewers will be able to interact directly with Bereta and his guests during the talk show in real-time via social media.

Naked and Afraid is produced by Renegade 83 with David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, Steve Rankin, and Denise Contis serving as executive producers.

Discovery After Dark is being produced by Embassy Row and Green Mountain West and executive produced by Michael Davies, Craig Ferguson, Rebecca Tucker, Craig Coffman, and Contis.
