Marvel has its upcoming 2-D beat 'em up video game Cosmic Invasion will be releasing on Dec. 1.

The release date announcement was attached to a new gameplay trailer that highlights playable characters Iron Man and Phoenix.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion features an old-school 2-D graphical look with gameplay similar to classic beat 'em up arcade games like Final Fight or Streets of Rage.

Iron Man unleashes giant laser attacks while Phoenix uses fire against waves of enemies in the clip.

Iron Man and Phoenix join a roster of other playable Marvel characters that includes Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Storm, Venom, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Silver Surfer, Black Panther, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Phyla-Vell, Nova and Beta Ray Bill.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion, from developer Tribute Games and published by Dotemu, will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S and X and Steam.
