Married at First Sight star Virginia Coombs seemed "disconnected" and "withdrawn" from Erik Lake and may say "no" to staying married on Decision Day, according to several prior-season cast members.

Three Married at First Sight couples appeared on the May 5 Married at First Sight: Countdown to Decision Day special: Season 9 couple Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson as well as Season 11 couples Woody Randall and Amani Rashid-Smith as well as Miles Williams and Karen Landry.

Amani, Karen and Woody expressed how they're not sure Virginia and Erik have a future together in the process of making predictions and sizing up Married at First Sight's Season 12 couples, who will face Decision Day on the upcoming May 12 episode on Lifetime.

During Virginia and Erik's last dinner date before Decision Day, Erik got emotional over how much he loved his wife and wanted to stay with her. Erik gushed about being on "a high" in his marriage, but Virginia remained pretty tight-lipped.

Amani called the conversation "intense" because she's "not sure Virginia was there with him."

"There was a bit of a disconnect," Amani noted.

Karen acknowledged, "Erik did get very emotional, and she seemed a little withdrawn... But some people take their emotions back and process them [before speaking]."

Jamie added, "I don't know if she's disconnected... but I feel like she's just taking all of that in. It was a lot! Dude man is in front of you, like, crying it out! And you're just like, 'Okay, okay.'"

Amani therefore predicted Erik will say "yes" on Decision Day but Virginia "is still a little hesitant."

"I feel like she's in this and she's been committed, but I'm not sure how she's responding or receiving the demanding stipulations she's going to be under being his wife," Amani reasoned.

Erik has made a series of ultimatums in his marriage such as demanding that Virginia move into his condo after the show ends and eventually have his child or else he's "done" with their relationship.

Erik also set standards and expectations for what he believes a marriage should be like and how a wife should behave.

As viewers have seen on the show's twelfth season, Erik anticipated Virginia would contact him basically every hour when she's away traveling, and he disapproved of Virginia crashing at a guy friend's house after drinking or "liking" her male friends' posts on social media.

"[Erik] is going to change," Amani said. "He's going to grow and realize he's been unrealistic in some of his requirements -- but can [Virginia] wait until he changes? [That's] the real decision."

But Karen asked her friend, "Does he want to change?"

"That too!" Amani replied.

Karen pointed out how Erik and Virginia's relationship has been "up and down" all season long and she can't wait to see what happens on Decision Day.

"I think they're going to stay together," Jamie chimed in. "I mean, I feel like they've got the chemistry and they've got the foundation. They just have to figure out how to be together day to day."

Elizabeth agreed with her husband that Erik and Virginia will probably agree to stay married.

"I think that they're going to figure out their differences. Virginia, if she wanted to run, she would have done that at the beginning," Elizabeth said.

"I think that they're both going to confidently say 'yes.' They have a lot of chemistry together."

Woody, however, admitted he's "50/50" about the prospect of Virginia and Erik working things out and avoiding divorce.

"I know Erik is going to say 'yes.' I don't know what Virginia might say!" Woody shared.

"She's the Wild Card," Karen noted.

Woody agreed, "She's the Wild Card for me."

Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson said during an April episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered that he thought Erik's ultimatums were "ridiculous."

"In short, it's ridiculous. I think Erik needs to have more understanding and less ultimatums," Pastor Cal said at the time.

"It's one thing to express the importance of wanting a thing, but you cannot always threaten your marriage with divorce."

On the latest episode of Married at First Sight's twelfth season, Erik made it known he planned on saying "yes" on Decision Day, but Virginia seemed hesitant given she and Erik still had a lot of issues to work through and tended to push their problems under the carpet.

In addition to Erik and Virginia, Married at First Sight also currently stars Haley Harris and Jacob Harder, Ryan Oubre and Clara Berghaus, Briana Myles and Vincent Morales, and Paige Banks and Chris Williams.

Paige and Chris chose to end their marriage and pursue a divorce shortly before their one-month anniversary, but based on a preview for the upcoming episode, fans may be in for a big surprise on "Decision Day."
